Title: Relationship with God
The text is set about 2,700 years ago. At that time, the prophet Isaiah pointed out the tragic situation of southern Judah and urged the people to repent. At that time, the situation of southern Judah was very difficult internally due to the decline of national power. So there were political turmoil and economic difficulties. Moreover, we were facing a great crisis externally. It was in a state of panic under the threat of great powers such as Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon. In the midst of this, Judas the male is in a frustrating situation where he can't get any help, so he feels doubts about his faith in fear and pain and complains.
However, this was a superficial reason, and in reality, the problem was that the relationship with God was severed. Therefore, apart from God, no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you try, it is useless. First, we must restore our relationship with God. Then 1. Why did Israel turn away from God? It is because of sin (verses 1-5). God does not help Israel, who is full of sin. Israel could not receive God's help because they blocked the channel of God's grace and blessing on their own.
If so, 2. What should I do for a good relationship with God? There is only one way to repent (Acts 3:19). Only when we repent and come before God, we are forgiven through the grace of the cross and recognized as righteous. Until we go to heaven, we live in a physical body, so we always make mistakes, fall, and become dirty. That is why we must constantly go before God, reflect ourselves in the mirror of the Word, and repent.
Then 3. What kind of blessing will God give to those who have a good relationship with him? Above all, He gives you the blessing of prosperity (Psalm 73:28). When we restore our relationship with God, all our problems begin to be solved one by one. There is no problem that God cannot help with. Indeed, I hope that all of us will maintain a close relationship with God through the Word and prayer, receive cleansing through repentance of even the smallest sins, and enjoy the blessing of prospering in all things through good relations with God.
