Title: Religion of filial piety
Introduction: Hallelujah!! Today is Mother's Day, established by our general assembly to commemorate Mother's Day established by the country. May the grace of our God be abundant to all mothers and fathers on this earth in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
1. Filial filial piety (хнЭ): We say filial piety for children to serve their parents well. Especially for Asians, this filial piety has been recognized as a very important way of life. That is why children who serve their parents well are called filial piety and filial piety, and sometimes the state gives rewards to such children.
During the reign of King Heondeok of Silla, Son Soon-eun went to his parents' table saying that he had a child, so he buried his child and dug in the ground. became.
2.Understanding Christianity: Especially Asians have served the souls of their parents and their deceased ancestors through ancestral rites, both while their parents were alive and after they died.
And through the sacrifice, the souls who died were prayed for the prosperity of individuals, families, and even the nation. This transcends the line of honoring parents and ancestors, deifying them and serving them. For such Asians, the Christian teaching that ancestor worship and idolatry was a great challenge could not but be accepted. This was considered a violation of the Heavenly Law and an act of rejecting the roots. However, this is a misunderstanding of the Christian teaching of filial piety.
3. God's commands: There are many commands of God recorded in the Bible. The summary of all those commands is what we call the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments are recorded in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5:7-21, which we read today.
The commandments to serve God properly are recorded in the 4th commandment out of those 10 commandments. And from the 5th to the 10th, they teach how to live among people.
If you look at these Ten Commandments, if you look at the commands to be observed among people, the first is the commandment to honor your parents, and the second is the command not to kill. There is no doubt that the Ten Commandments are all equally important, but the order is ordered from the most important first. In that context, we can see that the first commandment to God to worship no other gods besides me, or the first command to man to honor your parents, is the most important commandment. God has declared to us humans that honoring our parents is more important than anything else in the world.
4. Sacrifice and memorial service: However, it is forbidden to honor ancestors, but to worship their dead spirits as gods. This is because when human beings die, they are judged before God and go to heaven or hell, but they do not exist in the world as a ghost or have any superhuman powers. In the Bible, the genealogy of our ancestors is recorded in several places, and even their deeds are recorded in detail. Likewise, the Bible places great importance on ancestors. (Genesis 5: 1 Chronicles 1: Matthew 1: Luke 3:)
So, in our Christianity, we recommend that we hold a commemorative service to commemorate the day after the death of our parents. We call this ceremony a memorial service. On this day, all brothers and sisters gather to pray for the Lord's messenger to commemorate the lives of their parents, and have time for all children to decide to live a righteous life while giving thanks and glory to God with all their hearts. It is also a simple way to prepare food and share it with family and neighbors.
God promises two blessings to those who are filial. The first is that the Lord will give you a long life in the land that he has given you. This is the blessing of longevity. (Deuteronomy 5:16)
The second is that you will enjoy blessings.( It means that you will enjoy blessings while we live. This is a promise of happiness itself. It is an abundant blessing that we all enjoy as we prosper, prosper, and prosper.
