Old Testament
9. Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart rejoice in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes, but know that God will judge you for all these things.
10. Wherefore, let sorrow depart from your heart, and let evil depart from your body; for all your youth and dark hair are in vain.
1. Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of affliction come, before the years draw near, when it is said that I have no pleasure in it.
2. Before the sun and light and moon and stars darken, before the clouds rise again after the rain
new testament
14. Ye shall not be yokeed with unbelievers, for what is the relationship between righteousness and lawlessness, and what fellowship does light and darkness have?
15. What is the harmony between Christ and Belial, and what has the believer to do with the unbeliever?
16. What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? We are the temple of the living God. Thus says God, I will dwell among them, and I will walk about, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.
17. Therefore, come out of them and be separate from them, and do not touch the unclean thing, for I have received you.
18. I will be fathers to you, and you will be children to me, says the Lord Almighty.
1. Wherefore, beloved, having this promise, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
sermon
Youth is a time of possibility. The young man still has nothing. I have no money, no popularity, no name, no job like this yet. If you judge a young man by the outward appearance he has now, you do not know him properly. Young people must see the possibilities. His attitude toward life, his worldview, his attitude toward himself and his neighbors, his dreams, and his faith in God tell what kind of person he will become in the future. What kind of youth are you? Today's Bible text teaches three things to remember when you were young.
1. Know that there will be judgment: Young people are young and strong, and they are not afraid of new things. There are many things I want to do and many things I want to experience. Although the world is difficult, there is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it. But the Bible speaks to young people. Go in the way that pleases you and do as your heart desires. But know that there will be a day of judgment for all these things.
2. Let your worries get out of your mind: Youth is a time of great ambition, but at the same time, it is also a time of great stress. Nothing has been decided yet, so there is no stability. You have to study, build up your skills, find a job, and find a spouse. But remember that the security of your life is only with God, and let go of your worries.
3. Remember your Creator: Fresh youth doesn't last forever. Like all things, there is a time to bloom and a time to lose. Before the hard days of life come, there is something to be done in youth, and that is to remember God the Creator. Because our spirit will return to the God who gave it.
Just as the train leaves after a while when it arrives at the station, the times of youth come and go. The youth of the world who do not know God love pleasure and sin, and then go down the path of destruction. However, God's youth cherish the youth given to them, and they are temperate and loving. Rejoice in grace and cultivate eternal life with God.
