Title: Remove the Shadow of the Soul (II)

Contents

The text is 2 Timothy 3:1-4

Spirit-lived Christians love God more than money. But the spirit dead love money more. If the vessel of faith and devotion is greater than wealth, it does not matter because they love God more than money. But riches, greater and greater than faith, overshadow the soul.

Wealth is a good thing. Wealth allows us to live a comfortable life by buying what we want to buy clothes, having a house, and eating what we want. Wealth (money) is important to life. However, if you become enslaved by riches, your soul will be destroyed. If you love riches more than God, your soul is overshadowed. The idea of omnipotence is the same as serving the four gods idols. Money shouldn't look like God. In Exodus 32:1-6, there is an incident where the nation of Israel was destroyed by making a golden calf and calling it God.

1 Timothy 6:7-10 “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

If we have food and clothing, we will be content with it. Those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and destruction. The love of money is the root of all evil. Those who have longed for you have been deceived, and have erred from the faith and have pierced themselves with many sorrows.”

1 Timothy 6:17-19 “Command those who are rich in this generation not to be high-minded, and not to put their hope in uncertain riches, but to put their hope in God, who gives us all things to enjoy, doing good and being rich in good works Let them be gracious and sympathetic, for this is to lay a good foundation for themselves in the future, and to take the real life.”

Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters; either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other, for you cannot serve both God and riches.”

Hebrews 13:5 “Do not love money, but be content with what you have, for he himself has said, “I will not leave you, nor will I ever leave you.”

Matthew 6:19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.”

Luke 12:16 "God said, "You fool, tonight your soul will be required of you, and whose will you have prepared?" So is the one who lays up wealth for himself and is not rich toward God."

In this way, God said through His Word, “Though you have wealth, do not exalt your heart, do not despise those who do not have it, and be willing to share it with the good work (the Lord's work)! Says.

Dear saints, This era is imbued with the golden almighty ideology that prioritizes material things just like the people of Israel made and served golden calves. In the name of the Lord, I earnestly pray that all the members of the Shepherd Church will become spirit-lived Christians who can put their hope in the eternal kingdom of heaven, put their hope in God, and store up wealth in heaven rather than putting their hope in wealth and earth.
