Title: Repent and Believe/Acts 3:11-21,26
You must repent and believe/Acts 3:11-21,26
Key Verse: “Because you believe in his name, that name you see and know… He was completely healed” (verse 16).
Second, we must believe in that name (the name of Jesus) (Acts 3:16). The ‘faith’ in “By faith in his name” in Acts 3:16 refers to the faith of Peter and John, not the faith of the crippled person. The disabled had no faith at all. It means that God healed this disabled person through the faith of Peter and John. The name of Jesus is still a great power. The Lord requires that the faith of the saints who have heard His name and are saved become great faith. Because only with great faith can you be saved, you can save others, and you can be used greatly. Do you want to live your life with joy, joy, and gratitude? Live with sincere trust in Almighty God.
Third, if you believe in the name of Jesus, pleasant days will come and you will receive great blessings (Acts 1:19,26). The Apostle Peter mentioned that if you repent and believe, 'your sins will be taken away', 'the day of rejoicing will come,' and the Lord will send Jesus Christ whom he has ordained for you, and in the end you will receive great blessings (Acts 3:26). ). When we repent, God takes away our sins (Psalm 103:12). He casts our sins into the deep sea (Micah 7:19). He remembers that sin no more (Jeremiah 31:34). The reason the early church members lived with joy in the face of various persecutions and fears of death is because they received the blessing of joy and peace from the Holy Spirit through repentance and faith.
Prayer: Repent and believe in Jesus as your Savior so that we may always rejoice and give thanks in You. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
