river of living water
(River of Living Water)
John 7:37-39
Life cannot live without water. God made our life grow in the amniotic fluid of Mother's belly. 70% of our body is water. That's why someone referred to our body as a 'walking bucket of water'. It is said that an average person will drink 6500 gallons of water. God has placed a warning device for the health of our bodies, and that is thirst. Through thirst, the body receives the necessary moisture. This is also true of our souls. When our souls thirst, we feel thirsty. Where will you quench this soul's thirst? I pray that you will enjoy the refreshing water of life through the great proclamation and invitation of Jesus today.
1. All people are thirsty beings. (v. 37a)
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
2. Jesus Christ is the river of living water. (v.38)
“Whoever believes in me, as the scripture says, from his belly will flow rivers of living water.
3. Come to Jesus Christ and drink. (37b)
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
In Ezekiel's vision, various kinds of fish are playing where the river of living water flows, fruit trees live on the left and right, and the dead land is restored (Ezekiel 47:9). I pray that you will become the servants of the Lord who are filled with new strength, power, joy and peace, and who bear the sweat of devotion to accomplish the Lord's will with joy.
