Title: Resolution/Ever 4:15~17
Contents Preparedness/Ever 4:15~17
Key Verse: “Go, gather all the Jews who are in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days or three nights; and after I have fasted like this with my maidservant, I will break the ordinance and go to the king, for if I perish, I perish.” 4;16)
Word: People say that when you have to make an important decision, you have to be prepared. The word gloomy here means ‘to hide or cherish from others’, and it means to be thoroughly prepared for what you have to do or to experience in the future. God's people should always live a life with such a clear resolution. A person without determination cannot win any battle.
Looking at the background of today's text, it's about Esther's resolve to save the nation and turn despair into hope in a very urgent environment. Queen Esther was the only one who could make the Jewish people get through the crisis that was tightening every minute.
A person who comes to mind when needed, we call that person a ‘precious person’. Esther, the person who can rescue and help all Judaism, has to make a desperate determination now, looking forward to overcoming a tremendous crisis and God's work. This is what people say when they are determined to start something. ‘I am ready to die!’
Esther comes to us as a model of determination to win a job when she starts something. We can't live in the world at the level where we have to sit and wish for good luck if we have to. Esther's determination eventually turned all crises into a blessing of reversal and was able to turn it into a wonderful blessing from God. God's work is always with these people. It is God who always rewards with power and blessing to those who try to challenge, start, and overcome obstacles. “Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, and whoever loses it will live” (Luke 17:33).
There is always God's help in what we do by faith. Because God is always preparing our way. “Abraham called the name of the land Jehovah Jireh, so to this day people say, ‘It will be prepared on the mountain of the Lord’” (Genesis 22:14).
If God prepares it, it will be reversed from that moment on. change. It's novelty.
Prayer: May our families become God's instruments to rise again with a new resolution. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
