Title: Response to Faith

Contents Hymns/ 344,407 chapters

Joshua 21 records the Levite city and the fulfillment of God's oath.

Introduction

Dear saint! Faith grows when we let go of human comfort or expectations. Faith is the desperate need to seek God. This faith is the hope of trusting in the Lord God for the sake of the family, for the descendants, and for the fulfillment of life. The tribe of Levi is the servants of God. To them, the Lord God is the Lord and perfecter of their faith. And their livelihood and home is the message of Jehovah's promise. Therefore, they petitioned the assembly of Jehovah for a city and livestock that could be their home (Joshua 21:27),

First: the tribe that will give the city.

The descendants of Aaron the priest were given 13 cities by the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin. To the children of Kohath, 10 cities were given - from among the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and Manasseh. To the descendants of Gershon--Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and 13 cities of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan. To the descendants of Merari, 12 cities were given out of the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulon. Therefore, the tribe of Levi had 48 cities from the inheritance of the children of Israel. There were fields on all four sides of each city, so they could feed livestock.

Second: All of God's oaths were fulfilled.

In this way, God gave all the land that he swore to the ancestors of Israel to give to the descendants of Israel, so the settlement of Canaan was prepared (Joshua 21:43).

conclusion

Dear saint! The answer of faith is rest, peace, and love. Happiness is in God's hands. There is no enemy and no reason to doubt God's promises and oaths. Only God gives the message of ‘answer’ for good works. God's response is characterized by no surplus, no change, and no shadow of regret. “All the good things which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel came to pass, leaving no residue” (Joshua 21:45). Therefore, today, while waiting for the coming of the Lord, let's strive for good deeds. -Amen-

Prayer: Our Lord Jesus Christ! I want my prayers to be answered.
