Title: Responses are Slow because of God

Contents

Subject: Answers are delayed because of God's intentions

Words: 1 Samuel 1; 12 - 18

** About Elkanah.

Section 1 .

- The proud introduction of ancestors means that the family has a good genealogy.

- Hannah: A virtuous woman (Weaknesses - Hannah had Han) - Inability to have children.

Ex) If you see that you have children through , there must be a defect in your body.

* to stir the heart of

(10-11)

- He seemed drunk from how hard he prayed.

When Eli the priest saw it, he scolded the woman for drinking and praying.

It was not that Hannah was drunk and prayed, but that such a prayer came out of rage.

* The blessing of Eli the priest.

(17)

* Hannah's Confession of Blessing

And I never doubted it again. I wasn't even worried.

1. Hannah means .

* Why did the woman who received grace have to live in pain for so long without receiving grace? That is the question.

2. Peninnah means.

* Why did a woman as precious as a pearl harass Hannah so much? This is also weird.

3. What about God as a result?

* He loved Hannah more than Peninnah. Had Hannah been tormented for so long?

4. It makes me feel strange that the reason Hannah could not have a son was that God prevented her from having a son.

(Verse 5)

After all, the body was not barren, but the fact is that God prevented them from having children for about 20 years.

** When there was an intention to train, it was closed, and when it was acknowledged that the training was over, the womb was opened.

Then, what kind of training was God's intention?

First, prayer training

1) Hannah could not have a son and ignored her younger sister and prayed in a turbulent environment.

* God's intention toward Hannah was to train her in prayer.

Hannah prayed together.

* Instead of resisting the stress of people, I took it to God and relieved it through prayer.

* I even wailed. (10), also fasted (7)

After completing prayer training, God gave Samuel.

God does not use people, He uses prayers.

2) When God intends to use someone valuable, He gives them prayer training.

* ex) Jesus also fasted and prayed for 40 days before starting the work of God.

* ex) A woman said to her husband.

- My husband shouted.

The people God will use greatly is to start with prayer training.

God gave Hannah extreme pain for about 20 years to train her to pray.

Second, patience training

1) Peninnah resisted like an enemy (verse 6). At all, Peninnah had become an enemy.

** Hannah endured everything. - There are sayings that show the core of Hannah's character and faith.

(15-16)

God does not use those who cannot stand it no matter what.

It was clear that God wanted Hannah to train her in prayer and patience because she had not given her a son for so long.

2) During the Joseon Dynasty, there was a famous Jeongseung named Lee Seonggu. He resigned early and was training his juniors. One day, while he was fishing, a young scholar came and spoke half-talk.

** Jeong Seung-eun did not respond. Then the scholar blushed and shouted.

Jeongseung, who was just looking at him, carried this scholar and passed it over.

- It was a resolute attitude. Strangely, when I asked the villagers, they said that he was Jeongseung.

The young man went straight to him and apologized.

You will find that the bigger the character, the better your patience training is.

You have to endure anything. Without this training, you can't do big things.

Third, giving up training

1) God never uses people unless he trains them to give up.

** When God is going to use people, He trains them to give up everything.

Peninnah has ten sons. Hannah now has only one son.

** But he is going to give his son back to God.

He made a vow that he would give it back to God instead of raising it, and make him live in the tabernacle, and only see him one day a year.

2) God waited for a long time until the 20 years of training to give up even what we had asked for was completed.

** The most precious thing in Hannah was her son.

After giving up even the most precious things, God is the giver of greater things.

Later, Samuel also got it back and had three more sons and two daughters (1 Samuel 2:21).

3) Oh! God gives more if you give up!

ex) Moses gave up the Egyptian throne. Daniel gave up eating.

Esther gave up her position. Ruth has given up on a woman (relative).

Peter gave up.

Fourth, faith training

1) God is waiting for you to perfect your faith training.

** Hannah prayed for many years, but the answer is so simple.

When Eli the priest saw Hannah praying as if drunk, he said,

(17)

At this, Hannah said: (18)

2) The Bible says that Hannah's face was never searched again after that. I believed it.

* Do you believe in faith? A son Samuel was born.

* Hearing every word and believing every word, 20 years of pain have been washed away.

It can be seen that Hannah had that much faith training.

God made Hannah , , , and fulfilled God's plan.

Situation in Israel at that time - The Philistines continued to attack, the people of Israel lost their faith, and the priests were corrupt.

* The two sons of Eli the high priest, Hophni and Phinehas, were also corrupted.

What is God's intention?

** It was a time when I hoped that the right religious leaders would come out and rule the country well.

Through Hannah's prayer, Samuel was born on this earth, and Samuel led Israel spiritually and politically.

(1 Samuel 7:13)

** Because I have to make him a servant of such faith to raise and take care of my son...

So, God gave Hannah a good person and took good care of her son with faith.

** God gives great difficulties to those who will listen loudly.

If there is no answer to prayer yet, God has a great plan.

Therefore, we must not give up on prayer.

You must be trained until the day when God's great intentions are revealed.

I would like to conclude with one word Paul said.

(Romans 8:28)
