Title: Responsibility in Reality (Matthew 13:24-43)
Responsibilities in reality (verses 24-28, 36-39)
God begins the work of the kingdom of God on this earth by sowing the seed of the word in each person's heart, and accomplishes the work of the kingdom by sowing the saints who have become the people of the kingdom of God as seeds. Therefore, the people of the kingdom of God must be able to express the work of the Word not only internally, but also externally in the world. At this time, we must recognize that there is a spiritual opposition from Satan, and work tirelessly to bear the fruits of the kingdom of God in such a situation. First of all, I have to think about what kind of fruit I should bear as a people of the kingdom of God where I work. Also, I should think about how I can contribute to the church to bear fruit in this world where injustice is rampant, and I should always think about what kind of work or through whom Satan is interfering with that work.
Hope for the future (verses 29-30, 40-43)
When I discover injustice and injustice in this world, I sometimes do everything I can to get rid of it by myself, or I feel helpless and give up altogether. However, the Lord acknowledges that there are people like weeds and such situations in this world, and encourages us to be faithful to reality, hoping that the perfect judgment will be made at the Second Coming. Before pointing out the mistakes of unbelievers, let me set the example of the Word and let the church show the kingdom of God before pointing out the injustice and injustice of the world. Am I doing my best as God's people in my life today, hoping for the day when God's justice will be fully established?
Confidence in the Kingdom of God (verses 31-35)
The comparison of heaven with a mustard seed and leaven symbolizes that the beginning of the kingdom of heaven is very small in the eyes of man, but when the kingdom of heaven is completed, it will bring great results. From a historical point of view, Jesus' Heavenly Movement, which started in one province in Palestine, seemed very humble to people at the time, but now it has become the biggest movement in the world, and it has a lot of influence on the weekly society and culture. This movement to expand the kingdom of heaven is still being carried out all over the world through numerous missionaries. As a citizen of heaven, I have to accomplish this work with a sense of mission for the heavenly movement where I am. I don't need to be discouraged by my current appearance. Just as a small mustard seed grows into a tree, I need to find what I can do for the Lord's kingdom to grow. Just as leaven makes dough rise, I need to find the role I can play in making the Lord's kingdom change this society.
