saint's rest

(John 4:27-38)

A person cannot work without rest. Not only people but also living things need rest.(...) Even the land needs to rest for about a year after 6 years of cultivation.(...) It is also a kind of 'rest'.(...) Nehemiah built the walls of Jerusalem while he was on vacation from the Persian king Artaxerxes (...) .(...)

God rested on the 7th day of the creation of the heavens and the earth. This is not to say that he did nothing, but that he created the most important thing for us: the energy to work for six days: peace, love and rest. Peace, love, and rest are called rest. Sabbath was created on the 7th day. How important is the Sabbath?(...) The Sabbath law stipulated in the 4th commandment is the order of creation and is the basis for all events. You cannot live a blessed life apart from the Sabbath.(...) Sabbath is much more meaningful than rest. Six days of work are not required for six days of work, but six days of work for rest. A sabbatical is a break for new work and the completion of work for the past six days.

In Genesis 2:3, the Sabbath is the “blessed and sanctified day”. Among all creation, the only thing that is holy is the Sabbath.(...) Worship on this day is the rest of our souls before God. A soul that knows how to rest before God is a healthy soul. The Christian faith cherishes the Sabbath.(...) If you work for 6 years, the 7th year becomes a sabbatical year.(...) After 7 years have passed 7 times, the 50th year is called the Jubilee. In the year of Jubilee, debts are forgiven, and the enslaved are set free. Anything that is mortgaged must be returned to its original owner. A time of peace, a time of return to a life free from all oppression, is the Jubilee.

But there is no rest for sinners.(...) There is no true rest for all who do not repent, whether low or high, rich or poor.(...)

① Life is hard work and carrying heavy burdens.

A Samaritan woman... She lived with a remorse of conscience.(...) There was no rest because of her disgraceful life. Everything is stressful. Weary, giving up, and despairing (...) “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Only then will you be able to live a comfortable life.(...)

② Go to Jesus.

The way to receive God's grace is to be truthful, honest, and honest with God.(...) We must meet Jesus Christ, who knows who we are, who knows who we are and who loves us.(...) He Where do we meet?(...) Wherever we worship in spirit and in truth, the Lord grants us peace and rest.(...)

③ Let's learn the rest of Jesus.

Jesus rested in a secluded place (...) He prayed and rested (...) He rested from work (...) “My bread is the work of the one who sent me.” This is the Lord's rest.

What did you guys do and what did you get? I want you to realize the precious truth that work itself is a rest. “Seven years seemed like a few days.” Amen.
