Title: Restoration to a Blessed Family

Contents

Restoration to a blessed home

Ruth 4:13-17

Originally, Ruth's family background was unhappy. It was a ruined family.

But the message of Ruth is the restoration of happiness.

To be more specific, it is a story of a ‘family restored to happiness’.

The book begins with the funeral of three people,

The last is restored to the joy of the wedding and the festival of birth.

In other words, in Chapter 1, it begins with the deaths of three men, Elimelech, Malion, and Kirion, but in Chapter 4, it is restored to the historical birth of three men, Obed, Jesse, and David.

What started with tears turns into a congratulatory song.

It started as a wailing of bereavement, but the joy of birth continues.

You start out poor, but then comes abundance.

He appeared solitary, but he stands out as a person full of joy.

recovering more abundantly than before from the misfortune of losing everything,

happiness is emphasized.

From the dead idols of a foreign land to the bosom of the living God of the Promised Land

hug The hard work of the past 10 years turns into eternal glory.

It highlights the true nature of a family that has completely recovered from misfortune.

What does it look like?

A home that God cares for

It was ‘the grace of God’s care’ that Ruth’s family was able to restore happiness.

Verse 13 says, “The Lord took care of Ruth, and she became pregnant and bore a son.”

remind me

‘The grace of caring’ This is also the central theme of the book of Ruth.

If Judges of the Old Testament, written at the same time, informs us that "God cares for a nation (that is, Israel)", the Book of Ruth highlights "God's grace to care for one individual and one family".

So, although the book of Ruth is only four chapters,

The name “Jehovah” is repeated 18 times.

‘Jehovah God’ is ‘a God who cares’.

He is a God who cares deeply for a country, a people, a family, and an individual. Originally, the word happiness means “a phenomenon that occurs when you are receiving the grace of God’s care.”

Psalm 128 assures us that “the house that the Lord cares for will eat according to the labor of his hands, and it will be blessed and prosperous, and the whole family with their wives and children will find happiness and rest.”

Samuel's family was originally unhappy, but

Happiness was restored because God took care of her mother Hannah.

Chapter 432 Hymn

Anytime, anywhere, the Lord will protect you, always protect you."

This hymn was written and composed by Pastor Martin and his wife.

In fact, at that time, Pastor Martin took care of his wife, who was ill with an unwanted disease.

I was in a quandary because of nursing care.

The little son who was watching it,

"Dad, if it's God's will for you to preach tonight, aren't you sure that God will look after you while you're away?"

A mother who was deeply moved by the words of her young son, believed in the grace of God's care and wrote this poem.

Verse 4, the Lord will protect you even when you are tempted.

abide in the bosom of the savior, the Lord will keep you

Let's sing along with the chorus.

Lord I will protect you anytime, anywhere

The Lord will protect you, always protect you....

families that support each other

The relationship between the daughter-in-law Ruth and her mother-in-law Naomi was mutually supportive from beginning to end.

In verse 17 of the main text, even the women of the neighboring house show a happy scene of mutual support.

The famous female housekeeper Virginia Satya defined four important characteristics of a happy family:

First, a family that recognizes self-worth and respects self.

Second, the assumption that mutual understanding is common

Third, there are rules and an orderly assumption.

Fourth, a family that harmonizes well with neighbors and gets along well

Families who get along well with each other live happily.

Two important words are emphasized throughout today's sermon.

Ruth met her wealthy husband, Boaz, and lived a prosperous life. However, she does not forget her mother-in-law Naomi, and becomes a great caretaker of a tree (verse 15).

Here, the word “foster” means “to take good care of and take care of”.

This is the word Joseph used when he invited his father Jacob to immigrate to Egypt and took good care of him (Gen. 45:11).

Today, we also need to take good care of our elderly parents.

A sociologist put it this way:

“If the 19th century was the century when women were discovered, and the 20th century was the century when children were discovered,

The 21st century will be the age of discovering the elderly."

According to recent statistics, one of the top things that elderly people want from their children is to receive allowance in cash.

As children, we should be able to provide for our elderly parents as much as possible.

In the strict sense of the word, parents do not support, but support.

Dependent is a word that helps people with no economic power, and Bongyang means to support and take care of them.

A good spirit of serving is important.

At the same time, mother-in-law Naomi creates a beautiful harmony that nurtures her grandchildren.

show (verse 16).

How happy it is to see a young grandson growing up in the arms of his grandmother!

What made Timothy a great person is that his grandmother Lois raised him in the faith.

It was because God gave (2 Timothy 1:5).

In every family, there is a beautiful relationship between parents and children, especially between fathers and mothers.

There must be harmony.

family of beliefs

The three main characters in the book of Ruth, Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz, are all religious.

show consistent appearance.

They are people with the right spiritual frequency.

If you take these three people apart, their identity and background are different.

Naomi is a failure in child farming, Ruth is a Gentile woman, and Boaz is a typical Jew.

But they became one in faith.

Having a high level of education does not mean that the family is happy, but that it is economically rich

It is not about becoming a home that enjoys rest.

We must become one in Jesus.

The communion of souls must be established and the spirituality must be the same.

Even if the bed is not luxurious, there is happiness in the place where spiritual communication takes place.

A theologian named Karl Barth said:

“It is the noblest and most noble thing you can experience as a couple.

If there is a sublime achievement, it is being united with truth and devotion."

All families should enjoy the full grace of salvation.

To do that, you must hear the Word and believe it.

‘Believe in the Lord Jesus. Then you and your household will be saved” (Acts 16:31).

There are commonalities of happy families that we can find through the Bible.

‘The more excellent a man’s faith is, the happier he will be.’

The family of Abraham or Job is a typical example.

Their spirituality made the family happy.

However, the family of Abraham's nephew, Lot, was as much as his husband Lot had no faith.

It was unfortunate.

Happiness and unhappiness depend on the religious spirituality index.

At one time, Abraham also lost his faith and went down to Egypt, and there was a family dispute.

Therefore, men should be able to exercise the priestly blessing right away.

May fathers be creators of happiness, raising holy hands in prayer (1 Timothy 2:8).

James Davson, a world-famous family minister, describes the four conditions for a happy family.

defined like this

First, the amicable love between the couple

Second, the couple's faith and devotion

Third, a stable family

Fourth, participation in a healthy church

Like the central theme of the book of Ruth.

From poverty to abundance, from death to life,

Tears turn into joy, from a lonely life to a festive one,

There must be a home that is restored from the bitter waters of Marah to the living waters of Elim.

nest of happiness,

A home of reconciliation and mutual aid in the Lord,

Because the whole family believes in Jesus, unites in faith, and dedicates

I want the happiness of the Garden of Eden to be restored.
