Title: Restore Me Joy (Psalm 51:12)
Content David is praying to restore the joy of salvation that has already been lost. The most miserable suffering as a criminal is the lack of joy and peace in the heart. No, there is only anxiety and publicity.
1. David who forgot his joy David was intoxicated with God's blessing and sang a song full of joy at the Bethlehem ranch, saying, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." In addition, if you look at his poems, there are usually many songs sung with joy in gratitude for God's grace and blessings.
But once David sinned, his heart ached and he reached a point of misery. I can't sleep because of the anxiety and pain of the soul. No matter what he did, whether he came or went, he had a remorse of conscience, and there was no limit to fear before God.
2. Wishing for a Restoration of Joy It is hard to find anything more heartbreaking than David's serious self-humiliation and desperate cry for forgiveness. And nothing could be more profound and earnest than his longing for God's forgiveness and restoring grace.
I can't understand how pitiful and wretched it is to see him create a pure heart in his heart and renew an upright spirit, asking him not to cast him out into the sight of God and not to take away the Holy Spirit of the Lord . Nothing is worthless unless the joy of salvation is restored. First of all, the movement to restore pleasure is an urgent task.
3. The Lord's delight is my delight "You have no pleasure in sacrifice" (16) "You are not pleased with burnt offerings" (16) "You are pleased with whole burnt offerings" (19)
God does not take pleasure in formal sacrifices or ceremonial worship, but he is pleased with the whole burnt offering. It is said that it is more pleasing to one sinner to repent than to rejoice over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance (Luke 15:7). The joy of God is the joy of the saints. Joy will be restored when you offer a sacrifice acceptable to God, who enjoys the sacrifice of a repentant heart, and receive forgiveness through true repentance.
Conclusion: The greatest joy in life is a life of just fellowship with God. Criminals cannot face God, only those who repent.
