Title: Restore your lost confidence
Content e="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 21px; FONT-FAMILY: 'Gullim'; COLOR: #000000; FONT-SIZE: 13px"> This text is the report of the 12 spies who came to spy out the land of Canaan. . However, 10 out of 12 report negative and the other two, Joshua and Caleb, report positive. Those who said they couldn't, they couldn't, and they would die, could not enter the land of Canaan as they had said, and died in the wilderness. Most people listen better to people who see themselves as grasshoppers, or who have a “negative self-image.” But we are not grasshoppers and they must have a 'positive self-image' that we can call our prey.
How can I live with a “positive self-image” rather than a “negative self-image”?
1. Your eyes must be different.
10 out of 12 people who returned from spying out the land of Canaan for 40 days report that the land is good, but the people living in the land (:28-29), especially the 'Anak descendants', the giants, are difficult to defeat.
But Joshua and Caleb both cry out, “Let us take the land, for we are well able to overcome it” (:30). ‘I will overcome’ (:30) and ‘I will not’ (:31) are very contradictory calls.
‘Joshua’ and ‘Caleb’ are shouting that if God is with them, they will be able to overcome them, and that even the descendants of Anak are only food to be eaten (Numbers 14:9).
That's why it's so important what we look at. Look to God.
2. Know the principle of faith that speaks well.
‘Speaking well’ means using the ‘language of life’ that saves everyone. For example, to bless, encourage, or comfort someone.
People who live the lives of failure are filled with resentment, anger, and hatred toward the environment and people within. And they can't even fight against resentment, anger, and hatred.
The Bible records the negative reports of 10 people as 'bad reviews'. (:32-33) There is something we need to realize here. The fact is that there is no benefit to criticism and criticism. Not one of the ten spies and the Israelites who sympathized with them could enter the land of Canaan.
Only two people, Joshua and Caleb, who had positive self-images, entered the land of Canaan. The principle of a positive self-image lies in who you meet and what you hear. We become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. The blessing of becoming a child is to enjoy the grace of becoming a child. Therefore, as children of God, we must become people of faith who speak well.
3. Stand on God's side.
When the 10 people heard what they said, they tried to kill Joshua and Caleb, but they did not waver. In this way, I hope that you will not lose sight of being on the side of God and of faith. Those who live proudly in the world are those who stand on the side of God.
I hope that you will become a person who gives hope and faith to others. Instead of looking at the environment and being shaken, look to God. In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that 2014 will be a year in which you can enjoy the blessings of God prepared by restoring your lost confidence by living under the guidance of God.
