Title: Restoring Wildness (1)

Subject: Restoring Wildness (1)
Verse: Acts 2:37-42
The Church of God must be restored.
This is God's clear purpose and clear teaching.
I hope it will be a time to pray and think, listen to God's voice sensitively, and restore the power of early Christianity.
** God's creation of animals can be divided into two categories.
1) Domesticated animals - cats, cows
2) Most animals - Lions and tigers are wild and must live as they please.
** How did God revive early Christianity?
It's not artificial.
The early Christians were not tamed, they were strange people, and they lived life of wretchedness, and they were not afraid.
However, it is true that we cannot live with wildness alone.
It is true that there must be a balance between intellect and reason.
** But what about the modern church?
It is the loss of the wild faith that early Christianity had.
We do not find anything refined in early Christianity.
** To be honest?
It is true that after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus, he went crazy about himself and lived like a heavenly axis.
? However, it is true that, over time, the early Christian Church also lost its wildness with the passage of time.
The same is true of our modern church.
It is very tame by time.
** The power, power, and energy of the Holy Spirit that early Christianity had from God disappeared.
I. The driving force of the early church was the descent of the Holy Spirit.
1) What is the characteristic event that appeared after the resurrection of Jesus?
* It was the restoration of the holy wildness of the disciples who were trembling in fear.
Together with the cowardly Peter, 120 people gathered in a small upper room in Jerusalem, waiting for the Holy Spirit whom Jesus spoke of.
2) After receiving the Holy Spirit promised by the Lord, the wildness that writhes began to move in their lives, and that is the holy power God has given, that is, the power of the Holy Spirit.
“Only when the Holy Spirit comes on you” (Acts 2:1)
Verse 1 - We see the events of Pentecost taking place.
** The coming of the Holy Spirit and tongues of fire split apart, and go to verse 37 to clearly explain why this happened.
? Who will accept Peter's words?
They were given powers, and the number became 3,000.
What is the manifestation of this power of the Spirit?
** It was clearly visible to the naked eye.
As the Word of God was pierced in their hearts, many people began to feel burdened and painful.
3) What does ‘they were stabbed’?
** It indicates the painful state of being pierced by a sharp object such as a needle or a thorn, and the feelings of remorse and bluntness of guilt are beginning to reveal their hearts.
When the Word of God is proclaimed?
** Like a two-edged sword, it even splits the soul, spirit, joints, and marrow, and by examining the thoughts and intentions of the heart, there is nothing that cannot be revealed before the word of God.
4) After all! The chronic problems of life that plagued early Christians when they were filled with the Holy Spirit!
In other words, they were given the power of grace to overcome fear, discouragement, anxiety, unrestricted restrictions on their lives, and the pain of religious oppression and vested interests that were gripping them.
It's not that it's important to change society, but do they receive the Holy Spirit and change themselves?
** The world has changed accordingly.
5) What was the result for them?
** It is true that “the number of people who are saved” increased day by day by receiving the teachings of the apostles, sharing the sacrament, sharing the sacrament of believers, gathering in the temple, and receiving praise from all people.
? What if the wildness disappears? Don't forget that feral powers don't appear.
6) The wildness of faith and the wildness of the world are clearly different.
** What is the wildness of faith? It shows the power of God,
Don't forget that the wildness of the world creates problems with order!
? It should be noted that the wild is the same wild, but the result is different.
What do the saints look like after the wildness has disappeared and the Word of God has disappeared?
You cannot change the world.
7) Today, we must clearly know whether our hearts are living as fakes or have a changed life.
** There are a lot of problems, a lot of mistakes, a lot of selfish people, and they all seem alike, but we are different.
? That is, people who have been transformed.
Is it because God's power was evidenced?
** If we are true saints, we must have the evidence to change ourselves and be able to change others, but the fact is that there are many times when we live within our own fences.
Who are the saints with the power to receive the Holy Spirit and continue to maintain the prosperity of faith?
** What if there is a problem or crisis? It's not fake, it's real.
** What do we look like? We have to admit that we have been living the life Satan wants us to.
This means that we have been accustomed to the world.
When the wild is tamed, its abilities are lost.
But what about the early Christians?
** It was a change. It was completely different from before and after receiving the Holy Spirit.
After Saul became Paul? Saul did not come back.
Did Peter run away? Now there is no retreat.
8) Holy wildness doesn't just happen.
** We must live with a spiritual conflict within us.
“Why am I different from my predecessors of changed faith?”
“Why am I living in sin rather than changing people?”
? Even now, even in early Christianity and now, the church clearly exists, and the saints exist, but there must be “conflict” and “concern” about why the power does not appear.
What is the difference between early Christians and us?
** It means that you did not accept the world, but accepted God.
It means that they carried the cross of the Lord with their wild nature.
? Does my mission move me? Am I living my mission?
There should be clear principles for this.
Because I believe in Jesus? Can't I just think about what makes me change?
** Just as I know God's intentions for me, when I know God's intentions through the early Christian church, God's wildness can arise.
** What should we strive to change?
? Just because I'm changed now doesn't mean that everything is over, but we still have to turn over for change and change in life.
[ apply ]
We must live with clear goals.
** Not everything has changed, but the fact is that there are still many things that need to be changed.
? How do my past friends view me? You should hear “something has changed”.
2) What do I long for? We need to know that it determines our lives.
** With everything, live a better life, children and husbands or wives are a little more docile, is this the object of our love?
? These are things the world seeks too.
Ⅲ. The appearance of the wild - what changes by believing in Jesus
1. Be bold.
Believe in Jesus and be courageous. It is not that life is insecure and difficult without money, but that you should be bold.
** This means that you have to move forward with the attitude that if you die you will die.
‘Be strong and courageous, for I am with you’
“Remember that your mighty right arm is upheld.”
2. It was aggressive and offensive.
** How could it not hurt? How will you be blessed?
I didn't live in order, I lived aggressively.
Put simply? It means living without counting.
3. Evangelical and Christ-centered.
** This is what we see in Peter's sermon.
? We must repent, be transformed, and be baptized.
What were the early Christian churches? It wasn't about getting "inner healing" or anything like that.
Recognizing that Jesus is my Savior and Lord is evangelical.
What is our attitude toward Jesus?
We need to have Jesus as the Lord in our lives, but it is a fact that we keep thinking of him as a counselor.
4. It was dedicated (total devotion).
** What is commitment? It's a matter of values.
Who was the person whose values themselves were fixed on Jesus?
Devotion itself is enjoyable, but don't make it difficult to justify it and make it difficult for others.
dedication? They gave them the strength to overcome the harsh world.
Whose dedication is needed? That's what your dedication is all about.
5. Mission centered.
** If my life is not fixed to the Lord and is fixed toward the world, it means that I cannot fulfill the mission God has given me.
? We must live for our mission.
6. Evidence followed.
** What evidence? The work of repentance took place, and he began to live as a disciple.
If you pray, your problems will be resolved, if you pray, your sorrow will become joy, if you pray, you will be refreshed in power, and while singing, you will receive the grace of God and begin to change, remember that the power of the Holy Spirit is beyond your control.
Being baptized is really important.
But after being baptized, the evidence must come.
Receive the filling of the Holy Spirit. Awaken the wild! Restore the power of wriggling faith!
7. Become one.
** Restoration of the relationship has occurred.
It is the fact that although we lived within the boundaries of difficult and complicated status, we were united in love and restored through being born again as a child of God.
** We are afraid of referees.
But judgment is not scary.
After judgment, obviously, we live in anticipation of what God will give us.
It is true that we do not have anything in the world that we can possess.
Of course in the world we can be trampled on.
But you have to get up again. And we have to live with hope and anticipation of God’s ultimate kingdom of God, which Jesus spoke of.
IV. Conclusion and application
1. The power of the church is the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we must restore this ability. What do we need to do to do that?
2. To receive the Holy Spirit, we need continuous prayer. How can I control my life so that I can pray more consistently? Plan specifically.
3. One of the signs of a Spirit-filled life is wonders and miracles. When believers gather and when believers gather to pray, answers and signs of prayers large and small among us must follow.
