Title: Resurrected Jesus 2 (Matthew 28:1-10)

Contents

The joy of the Resurrection is on our members and their families on Easter Sunday.

I wish you all the best.

1. The Lord's resurrection brought great joy.

On the first day after the Sabbath when the Lord had foretold the resurrection, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb, but the Lord had already been resurrected and when they heard the news of the Lord's resurrection from the angels, they left there with fear and joy. was told to his disciples (verse 8). The women who came to the tomb heard the wonderful and joyful news from the angels that Jesus had risen. On this Easter, I pray that the families and individuals of the saints will be filled with the joy of the Lord's resurrection.

2. Jesus' resurrection fulfilled the promise.

Jesus told His disciples that He would suffer many times in the future and that He would rise again on the third day (Matthew 16:21, Mark 8:31, Luke 9:22, John 2:19). The words 'He is not here, but is risen' is a message of salvation that declares the cross and resurrection of Jesus at the same time and declares our salvation. When we are saved, two problems are solved. One is the problem of sin and the other is the problem of death. The Lord died on the cross to solve the problem of our sins and rose again to solve the problem of our death. If Christ had ended with His death on the cross, the problem of sin would have been solved, but the problem of death would not have been. But because Jesus Christ rose from the dead, these two problems, our sins and our death, were solved.

3. The resurrection of Jesus is the work of creation of new life.

To say that the death of the body is the end of life is an irresponsible answer. Those who believe in the promise of eternal life live a life of a new meaning, and this is the ethics of resurrection faith. The Christian view of the afterlife is also based on the resurrection faith. Because there is an afterlife, there is resurrection, and because there is resurrection, there is eternal life. The power of the resurrection overcomes people, overcomes lies, and makes us an eternal victor.

Those who have faith in the resurrection are not afraid in any living environment.

Even in the face of death, I am courageous and pray. Because Jesus was resurrected, we believe that He will also rise. Resurrection is eternal life, a victory.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me will live even if he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die (John 11:25).

Just as Jesus was resurrected, we who have received the life of Jesus will surely live. The Lord has fulfilled His promise to be resurrected. Rejoice in the resurrection of the Lord.

Jesus was born 2,000 years ago in a manger in Bethlehem, a Jewish country under Roman colonial rule. As soon as Jesus was born, he had to flee to Egypt to escape King Herod. Growing up and working as the son of a poor and disrespectful carpenter until the age of 30. He said, "Foxes have dens, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." He has never held a high office, nor has he ever seen an opportunity to go out into a big city to improve his career. You have never traveled more than 200 miles from where you were born. Even his brothers in the flesh were far from him, and even his closest disciples did not recognize Jesus' heart. The Pharisees, Sadducees, priests, scribes, and elders tormented Jesus countless times. Jesus was betrayed by his beloved disciple, and all the other disciples abandoned him and ran away. In the end, Pilate falsely accused Jesus and took him to Calvary, where he was crucified and killed.

The crime they accuse Jesus of

1) Because he was said to be the King of the Jews (John 18:33, 19:2, Luke 23:2)

2) Because he claimed to be the Son of God (John 5:18, 25. 19:7)

3) Because he said he was God (John 8:53~59, 10:33)

4) Because he deceived the people and saw him as a leader of rebellion (Luke 23:2)

5) Because he forbade people to pay taxes (Luke 23:2)

However, this is a manipulation and a sin that is forced upon it.

1 Peter 2:22 “In him there is no sin,” that is, “He is a righteous man.” Jesus

He is God who came into the world in the flesh to desire. he is god

He is the Lamb of God who came into the world to save mankind.

John the Baptist testified of Jesus

John 1:29 “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Jesus took the sins of the world and died on the cross. He was crucified with two thieves. It was so painful that he said, 'My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?' and exclaimed. When he died, the veil of the sanctuary was torn.

2

The centurion and many others also watched the death of Jesus. The soldiers also confirmed the death of Jesus. (John 19:33)

With the permission of Pilate, Joseph of Arimathea buried Jesus in a new tomb in the garden according to the Jewish burial law. In this way, the appearance of Jesus could not be seen in this world. Jesus said several times in his ordinary life, 'I will rise again on the third day after I die'. As He said, Jesus rose from the dead three days after being crucified.

God shows His love for mankind in the following three histories.

you said

First, it is the birth of Jesus, in which the Word became flesh.

He loved us so much that he abandoned the throne of the king and came down to the throne of the poor.

Second, it is the suffering that He died on the cross for us, who had no choice but to die in our sins and trespasses.

He loved us even to the point of giving his life.

Third, it is the resurrection event in which the power of death was overcome and the person rose from the grave.

Through these events, God showed us that He loved us.

The most shocking and dramatic news of mankind has been delivered by angels. The message delivered by the angels was a comforting message: ① ‘Don’t be afraid’. ②It was the news of the resurrection. The news of the Resurrection was confirmed by the Word of God and witnessed through the field.

Death is not the end of a person. The resurrection is also attested by nature.

Martin Luther said, “Our Lord did not write the promise of the resurrection only in books, but on every leaf that grows in the spring.”

Among the blooming willow leaves, yellow forsythia, and pink azaleas, we can know the meaning of resurrection anew. Just as a living seed digs through hard ground and sprouts sprout, the Lord, the source of life, opened the grave and rose. Beyond death is a glorious resurrection. There are many examples that show that there is a world of another dimension beyond imagination.

In other words, the resurrection of Jesus proves the fact that He came to atone for human sins and guarantees the resurrection of the saints. Humanity's greatest enemy is 'the tyrant of death' Human society has become a chaos due to this tyrant of death. Look at the tombs piled up in Bukmansan Mountain, the great masterpieces of the high officials, the heroic heroines, the modest people... didn't they all go to hell, driven by the tyranny of death? But Jesus broke the power of death.

You have defeated this tyrant. Hallelujah !

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1

Lord's Resurrection

Jesus was resurrected after 3 days

First, he appeared to Mary Magdalene.

Mary is a regenerated new person, a woman of great zeal and loyalty. They are zealous saints who prepare quick actions in advance for the members of the Lord and run toward the tomb at the dawn of the day of the Resurrection.

Even though he did not have faith in a perfect resurrection, the Lord first showed such a divine image to such a Mary. In that sense, the Lord of the Resurrection is to be the eternal Lord to all the saints of today who are faithful and zealous like Mary.

Second, he appeared to the disciple hiding in the attic.

They were all trembling with fear and terror because of the fear of the Jews the priests, the Pharisees, the scribes who had hostility toward Jesus. The resurrected Lord from among those disciples encouraged them by saying, "Peace be with you." How many people are trembling with the fear of death, business anxiety, and all kinds of fears at this hour today? The Lord is pleased to cast out their fears and fears.

Third, the Lord showed Thomas.

“Stretch out your hand and put it in my side, and do not be a believer, but a believer.” He said to Thomas, “My Lord and my God. Do you believe in me because you believe me? Blessed are those who believe without seeing.” Thomas is a representative of doubts, unbelief, and skepticism. He encourages those who fall deeply into the bog of “trust each other” and “become a believer in me.”

Fourth, he appeared to the two disciples of Emmaus, accompanied them, and revealed the word.

When the Lord was crucified, they confessed their despair and declared failure, and were on the road to paradise. If you are persecuted because of the Lord, you may become discouraged. Today, how many people despair, discouragement, resignation, and fall into fatalists just because they were poor, ugly, and did not learn? However, as long as anyone meets the Lord of the Resurrection, they can get up from the road of Emmaus, who had despaired, and run towards the Jerusalem of Hope, splitting the morning light of resurrection.

Fifth, the Lord met His disciples on the shores of Tiberias.

"Children, do you have any meat?" He went back to his old life, but he even prepared food for Peter and his disciples who were exhausted because they couldn't catch any fish all night. “Simon, do you love me?” The Lord came to the disciples who had returned to their old lives and entrusted them with the apostleship that they had abandoned themselves. The Lord of the Resurrection visits even the prodigal son who has given up his precious office and returned to his old life.

Also, the Lord of the Resurrection is the firstfruits of the Resurrection,

He is the hope of those who live.

In this way, to those who have died in the Lord, to the faithful saints, to the modern people who are gripped by anxiety and fear, doubt and unbelief, despair and resignation, and to those who have fallen into the shameful old life, the risen Lord is the Lord of soaring hope and overwhelming joy. that you become
