Title: Resurrection = Kingdom of God
Resurrection = Kingdom of God
Text/ 1 Corinthians 15:1-58
1. Introduction
In the East, we interpret the laws of the universe in terms of yin-yang theory. According to scholars, the criteria for the decline of yin and the beginning of yang are interpreted according to three criteria. After the winter solstice - after the spring equinox - after the vernal equinox. I think it is reasonable to see that the positive energy actually runs after the vernal equinox.
The 2008 vernal equinox is March 20 and Easter Sunday is March 23. It is very significant that Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the vernal equinox every year. The spring equinox is the season when the energy of winter-dark energy-cold energy-death disappears and spring energy-brightness-warm energy-life begins. Easter Sunday symbolizes the day when the power of life completely overcame the power of death. Our Christian faith is based on the resurrection faith in which God raised Jesus from the dead and raised him from the grave. Therefore, the Apostle Paul said, “If there were no resurrection of the dead, then Christ would not have risen. If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is also in vain... We are the most pitiful of men, but now Christ has risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20).
2. Resurrection is a mystery
The modern age we live in is the age of all-around science. They are asked to provide scientific evidence in all fields, whether physical - mental or spiritual. It is said that those without scientific basis are superstitions - cults - deceit - nonsense hypotheses - myths before science. Even if the resurrection event is approached from a scientific point of view, no basis can be found. 4 Even the Gospels themselves do not explain the resurrection event with logical consistency. Each of the four Gospels we are reading now records the resurrection events differently. However, it is clear that there were people who directly experienced the resurrection of Jesus. In other words, although the feelings-shape-experience-evidence-calling and responses to the resurrection event of Jesus experienced by each person were different, “Jesus’ resurrection event-itself!” Mann means clarity-clearance-clearance.
3. Meaning of the Resurrection Event
second. The resurrection event is an event that testifies to God's works. Jesus said “no” to all human personal and social sins and tried to establish the kingdom of God in our existence on this earth. However, the resurrection event is an event that proves that God has resurrected Jesus who was buried in the tomb. What does it mean? It is not that Jesus himself rose from the dead-tomb, but that God went through the death-tomb and raised Jesus back to life.
In other words, if we live with the heart of Jesus the heart to establish the kingdom of God, but suffer persecution and die, the God who raised Jesus will also bring us back to life so that we can share in the glory of resurrection with Jesus. In this sense, Jesus became the firstfruits of all who slept. Therefore, Jesus said, “Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and the gospel will save it” (Mark 8:34-38).
third. Therefore, the resurrection event is the sound of a marching trumpet that urges each of us to participate in building the kingdom of God on this earth and in the field of our lives. The resurrection event means that each of us no longer pursues the lust of the flesh the lust of the eyes the pride of life, and leads to eternal death eternal judgment. It is a message to actively participate in the establishment of
So, what is the work of each of us who have faith in the resurrection?
(1) Above all, we must face our own life and clearly understand what to say “no” and repent of what we will repent of. (2) I have decided to build the kingdom of God in my own real life, and I will start with the smallest things according to the talents I have received. (3) Just as Jesus believed that He would resurrect Him, not God promised Him in advance that He would resurrect Him, so after doing our work, we will leave the rest to God (Psalm 37:5-6, Ps. 55:22, Proverbs 16:3, 1 Peter 5:7).
