Title: Resurrection and Living Hope

Contents ** Resurrection and Living Hope **

<text>

Many people live in the world and gain wisdom for life.

You will also learn and experience a lot.

People who live like this depend on their knowledge and experiences, and they think that the world only becomes according to their knowledge and experiences.

I know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, that when a person is born, he must die, and that the dead cannot come back to life.

And you come to think that this truth does not change.

If they told them that the sun would rise in the west or that the dead would come to life, no one would believe them.

I'm not going to dismiss it as nonsense.

I'll tell you where I'm a bit of a crazy person.

However, this impossibility has happened today that cannot be understood by human thought, knowledge, or experience.

More than 2,000 years ago today, Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

Even the women in the text did not expect the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

They just went to the tomb with spices to do what they hadn't been able to prepare.

They went to the tomb with a gloomy heart that, like many others, neither Jesus nor so did Jesus once he died.

But Jesus Christ was not there.

The two angels said, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen."

The Lord was not there.

The stone door was wide open, and the figure of the Lord was not there.

Only the linen cloth that wrapped Jesus was left.

When the disciples heard the news from these women, they also ran to them.

It was more certain, but Jesus was not in the tomb.

Jesus is risen.

He came back to life in order to enlighten the foolish thought of humans that, once dead, cannot be revived.

As he had promised, just as he had foretold, He rose again on the third day.

Matthew 16:21 says, “From that time on, Jesus Christ began to teach his disciples that he must go up to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.”

He lived according to these words.

Even that heavy stone gate could not stop this resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Even the swords and spears of the soldiers who kept watch all night could not be stopped.

Neither the religious leaders at the time, who were overjoyed that Jesus was dead, nor Pilate, the Roman governor, who ordered the death of Jesus Christ could not be stopped.

Jesus is alive again.

He conquered death and was resurrected.

It is the faith and hope of the resurrection.

Hallelujah!

When Jesus Christ rose from the dead and gave them the faith and hope of the resurrection, he instilled in them great strength and power.

He also gave us confidence and hope that we could overcome death.

He also gave us the assurance of victory that we can overcome the world.

He also gave us the assurance that we can overcome the premortal world of Satan and the devil.

The disciples now had no fear.

Because the door of resurrection was wide open before their eyes, and victory was promised.

Because the resurrected Lord became the evidence of victory and became the promise.

The same goes for us.

Jesus Christ has given us hope that we can be victorious through His resurrection.

So what can you win?

The first is the hope of victory over death.

There are two common types of death.

One is the death of the body, the physiological death we speak of when the breathing stops and the heart stops beating.

Another is the death of the soul who died because of sin.

Jesus Christ solved both problems of death by means of the cross and resurrection.

He has given us the hope that we can overcome both spiritual and physical death.

“I am the resurrection and the life; everyone who believes in me, even if they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.”

1. First, He gave us the hope of victory over spiritual death.

Man was created to have fellowship with God and to live with God.

However, due to disobedience and rebellion, human beings turned away from God, and because of sin, they were forced to suffer in pain and judgment.

Man has lost the right to approach God on his own.

Humans had no way to solve this problem.

He had no choice but to live in fear and fear.

But God Himself took charge of this matter.

Jesus Christ took the pain of the cross to solve the problem of our sins.

He gave us the hope that any sinful human can receive forgiveness of sins and be victorious over spiritual death if they believe in Jesus Christ.

His resurrection has given us more confidence.

ex) the robber of the cross

2. He also gave us the hope of victory over physical death.

People are afraid of death.

Because we think that death is the end of life, we struggle not to die.

ex) Qin Shi Huang and Bulnocho.

Both Qin Shi Huang and Nero died.

Alexander, Caesar, and Napoleon died.

Even the heroes of the world could not escape from death.

But Jesus Christ has risen again.

So, he showed us that this is not the end, but that there is a more eternal world.

For us Christians, death is not the end of life, but a new beginning.

It is not the final destination of life, but the starting point of a new life.

By resurrecting, Jesus Christ gave mankind hope for the next life and longing for eternity.

2. Second, by his resurrection, Jesus also gave us hope that we can overcome suffering.

It is the hope that we can be victorious in temptation, tribulation, and temptation.

In fact, we face many trials during our lifetime.

You will also experience tribulation.

You will also be tempted into something intolerable.

But Jesus overcame them all.

He overcame temptation, temptation, and tribulation.

No, He gave us hope that we could overcome suffering through suffering on the cross, which was the most painful suffering that a human being could suffer.

The Apostle Paul also said in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to you; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation make the way of escape, so that you are able to bear it. make it happen,” he said.

It gives us the strength to bear it.

The Lord, who overcame suffering and triumphed, gives us the strength to overcome.

Who is in despair or frustration?

Has anyone lost their spirits due to disappointment?

Jesus, who overcame death, gave us hope that the Lord, who overcame all suffering, can overcome.

Go away, Satan!

I believe that I must overcome the foolish thinking that I cannot do it and live with the belief that I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

“I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present, nor future, nor power, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8). :38-39)

Clearly, we believe that we will triumph in Christ.

You can overcome any pain, test, tribulation, despair, or frustration.

3. Last but not least, this is the hope you have given as a promise.

Jesus Christ made this promise when he ascended into heaven after being resurrected and appearing to his disciples.

“Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).

is a promise.

Human beings are weak in life and often get frustrated, despair, and lose their energy.

The Lord who knows this has promised to be with us.

It also means that we will always, always be together.

He gave us the hope that wherever we are, whatever we do, we will always be with you.

What kind of history was there when God was with us?

The Red Sea parted.

The walls of Jericho fell.

A spring of water gushed out of the dry desert boulder.

Captain Goliath was killed by the boy David.

King Hezekiah, who had no choice but to die, came to life.

This amazing work happened when God was with us.

What happened when Jesus was with you?

The raging sea of Galilee calmed down.

With 5 barley loaves and 2 fish, 5000 people ate and there were 12 baskets left.

The dead Lazarus lived, the son of the widow of Nain, and the daughter of the centurion Jairus.

Various sick people were healed of their sickness.

The hearts of the two disciples on their way to Emmaus, who were in disappointment and frustration, heated up.

No, all the disciples have changed.

It was completely changed.

This amazing work happened when Jesus was with us.

This Lord has given us hope that this Jesus Christ is with us.

"I will always be with you until the end of the world"

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you cross the river, the waters will not sink you, and when you walk through the fire, they will not be burned, and the flames will not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2).

We are weak, but with Jesus Christ we can overcome.

We must have faith in this hope.

Today, on Easter Sunday, we have to look at the news of the Lord's amazing victory with believing eyes.

When we look with these eyes of faith, we can be victorious.

ex) The brass serpent in the wilderness, the fiery serpent

Please see this wonderful news with the eyes of faith and have the hope of victory over this death.

May you have hope to triumph over this death.

May you have the hope of victory over this test and suffering.

I hope you will have the hope of victory by believing in this promise.

I hope that you will have hope and become victorious.
