Title: Resurrection and Restoration

Contents

Bible: 1 Corinthians 15:1-11

─────────────────

A man named Jerry Francaiser wrote a book called "From Chickens to Eagles." The book tells the story of a birdman who accidentally saw an eagle growing with chickens in a farmhouse, and made him discover the wildness of eagles again. He restored the eagle, who was in a situation where he had no choice but to live as a chicken, even though he was an eagle, as an eagle that cuts the sky.

Also, there is a movie called “Stand and Deliver”. In that movie, a high school called Godfield appeared, which was a school where problem children gathered to get their diplomas. However, Jamie Escaranda, who was appointed as a math teacher at this school, does her best not to become “children who only eat hamburgers” with the mindset that “students grow as much as teachers expect”. The children were moved by the teacher's will, and the students of Godfield High School, the problem school, took the math test hosted by the Los Angeles Department of Education in the first year, 18 passed, in the second year, 29, and in the third year, 45 students. After passing the exam, in the fourth year, 73 students from all the schools will be able to achieve a miracle.

These students were not originally problem children, they were originally noble children. Jamie Escaranda said, "I have only restored children who were born with dignity to a place of honor."

Luke 15 tells the parable of the prodigal son. The prodigal son was not a prodigal son from the beginning. Originally, he was the second son of a noble family. However, he became the prodigal son due to a momentary mistake in judgment. But his father's love restored him from prodigal son to noble son.

Today is the day Jesus was resurrected. The reason Jesus was resurrected was to restore us to our original form. In 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4, which we read today, it says, “According to the Bible, Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and according to the Bible, Jesus Christ rose from the dead.”

Dear brothers and sisters, please believe in the fact that Jesus was resurrected to restore our original form and eternal life. That's why in John 11:25-26, Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." Says.

In verse 5 of the Bible we read today, the resurrected Jesus appeared to Cephas, to the twelve disciples, to over 500 brothers at once, to James, the brother of Jesus and the other apostles, and to those who were not fully born. It is said that he appeared to the same apostle Paul.

Peter was called to be a fisher of men. However, Peter denies Jesus three times. Jesus calls Peter again from the shore of Tiberias in John 21. He asks three times, “Peter, do you love me?” and shows how he restores Peter as a disciple of Jesus again.

The same goes for the other disciples. They gathered in Mark's upper room and hid behind the door with this thought, "The Jewish leaders killed Jesus, and then they will kill us." The Lord of the Resurrection appeared there and said, “Do not be afraid, peace be with you.” He showed his hands and side and showed his resurrected image. The disciples who saw it finally believed in the resurrection of Jesus. In this way, Jesus restored the disciples who were afraid and trembling as his disciples again.

Dear saints, the risen Lord restores us to God's beloved and precious children again. It is the Resurrection Lord who removed the tears from Mary Magdalene's eyes and gave her joy.

Dear saints, do you know why today is a happy day? Please remember that today is the day that the Lord of the Resurrection made us again to a noble place, from chickens to eagles, solving calculus and making us nobles whom we respect ourselves. Therefore, please remember in your mind that today is a joyful day, that we are blessed, and that today is the blessed day of being renewed with the Lord of the Resurrection and being transformed into our original and noble form.

Ladies and gentlemen, the risen Lord has given us a living hope. 1 Peter 1:3 I always remember those words. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to his great mercy, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, that he hath begotten us again to a living hope.”

Dear brothers and sisters, the fact that Jesus was resurrected is the precious promise that we who believe in the resurrected Jesus will have eternal victory just like the resurrected Lord. We are victors.

Because we believe in this resurrected Lord, we don't have to live in timidity everywhere. Even if I die today, I have eternal life. Therefore, today is the day of the Resurrection, the precious work of the resurrected Lord becoming our joy, hope, and restoring our lives anew.

I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become believers who are assured of eternal life with the Lord of Resurrection today, live a new life with the power of the Lord of Resurrection, and live life boldly with living hope.
