Title: Resurrection Faith (John 20:19-23)

Contents

April is a month of natural change with clear spring energy, and is a blessed month where you can feel the dynamism of life anywhere.

On the morning of Easter Sunday, April 5, 1885, the gospel first came to the land of Joseon, the land of the morning calm.

This was it.

On that day, a ship arrived at Jemulpo Port in Incheon after going through a strong storm. It was a fact that the gospel of life was carried, not just a simple entry.

On this ship, a Methodist missionary 'Appenzeller' and his sister married a Presbyterian missionary.

'Underwood' was riding.

And Appenzeller wrote a letter to his mission immediately upon arrival, in which

was loaded.

'We arrived here on Easter morning. On this day, the Lord broke the iron bars of death.

Loosen the bonds that bound this people, and lead them into the children of the Lord, into light and freedom.

I pray that you will.'

This was only 124 years ago.

Today is Easter, the biggest holiday in Christianity.

I wish you all the blessings of the resurrection of life this morning.

Resurrection is the Greek word for 'anhistei', which means to rise.

That is, rising from the dead.

Therefore, Easter is the day of victory when the body of the Lord rose from the cross and the grave.

Through the frustration, despair, and poverty, the history that takes place in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, your lives

I bless you that 'Anhi Stay' can happen inside.

Looking at the text, Jesus broke the power of death and rose from the dead three days after being buried.

He has triumphed over death.

Meldeepson describes this scene in the final scene of his movie 'The Passion of the Christ':

do.

The stone tomb where Jesus Christ was imprisoned opens. And the bright sun shines.

And as Jesus rose from the dead and walked out, the nail marks were very clear.

is revealed. In order to show this one scene (nail marks), he invested 25 million dollars in his fortune to show the process of suffering and suffering. He said this.

“Without the resurrection, our faith is dead.

Anything that speaks without resurrection is glorified."

Then the important thing is this.

What would the disciples look like when Jesus Christ triumphed from death to resurrection?

is to do

Everyone! What do you think has changed for the disciples?

There was no change.

Verse 19 says, "On that day, on the evening of the first day after the Sabbath, the doors were shut in the place where the disciples had gathered for fear of the Jews."

Rather, the disciples locked the door and were trembling.

Now, their Master, Jesus Christ, is resurrected and shakes the heavens and the earth, and the disciples

He had locked the door and was trembling.

Where is this only the disciples? Isn't that what we are?

How much power has God given the saints?

As a child of God, He gave us the power of prayer, He gave us the power to resist the devil,

Not only that, but he pours upon us all the full power of heaven and earth for the expansion of the kingdom of heaven.

you have given

But isn't our image the image of the disciples in the text?

The Lord appeared to the disciples who were trembling like that.

And after the disciples met the resurrected Lord, everything changed.

Verse 20 says, “When the disciples saw the Lord, they rejoiced.”

And the second half of verse 19 says, "Jesus, peace be with his disciples."

You said.

In other words, the disciples found peace in their hearts after they met the resurrected Lord. That is, there was emotion.

And their sorrow was gone, and joy welled up.

That's why John 15:11 says, "I give this to you, that my joy may be in you and your joy may be full."

So, where is our power as God's people?

There is only one way to meet the risen Lord.

It is not simply knowing Jesus Christ.

The disciples in the text also lived with the Lord for 3 years before meeting the risen Lord, but they were trembling in fear.

But now that I have met the Lord of the Resurrection, the power of resurrection can be manifested in me as well.

This man was a thug and did all kinds of bad things before he believed in Jesus Christ, but he met Jesus Christ. I met the risen Lord.

And what was the first thing you did? It was just sending a 'deputy chief'.

"Kim Ik-doo died"

Then one day, a young man went to the market and found that Kim Ik-doo was alive and well.

And if there is one thing that has changed, it is evangelizing people to believe in Jesus with the Bible on their side.

This young man got angry and sprinkled a drop of water on him and said to Kim Ik-doo, 'What are you dying for?

As long as the milk is alive"

Then Kim Ik-doo, who covered him with a sip of water, said, "It's a shame because you died, Kim Ik-doo. If you lived, you would have been dead."

That's right. The old man Kim Ik-doo died, and the new man Kim Ik-doo came back to life.

Folks, this is the resurrection faith.

That is why the Lord wants us to meet the Lord of the Resurrection. How can I meet you?

You mean going back 2000 years? no .

We can meet through worship.

What is worship? It's time to meet the living Jesus Christ.

By meeting Jesus Christ at this time, you can experience peace, joy, and power in your heart.

Through worship, the Lord gives us peace.

So, looking at the text, didn't the first thing the Lord say to His disciples to be, "Peace be with you"?

Dear all! God gave the Israelites the land of Canaan as a gift.

At that time, the people were very happy. There was joy, excitement, and gratitude.

But God also provided the Israelites with a way to obtain this gift.

do you know if

It was "stepping on foot". In other words, it was given as a gift to the place where one's feet would tread.

Joshua 1:3 "As I said to Moses, I have given you all the places the soles of your feet can tread."

That's right. God has granted blessings to those who dig the earth.

Exactly everyone! God blesses those who tread on the ground of the temple and worship God like you.

That is why the Lord breathes out to His disciples and says:

Verse 22, "He breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit."

That is, he breathed the breath of life into it.

Genesis 2:7 "God formed man from dust and breathed into his nostrils with the breath of life"

Remember?

The breath of life "It is the Holy Spirit (Luhau).

At the Nature Museum in Auckland, New Zealand, the now extinct and extinct giant 'moa bird' is stuffed.

As for the jesse over 3m in length, it has two legs, a long neck and a beak

This is because their large body is full of feathers and has no wings. But the fact is that they were not without wings from the beginning. In this region, which is far from the continent, where the environment is good and there is plenty of food, there is no need to strengthen the wing muscles and there is no need to use the wings.

They lost their wings and thus became the cause of extinction.

Likewise, if we Christians do not receive the Holy Spirit, we cannot fully fulfill the mission of Christ.

It is said that not even perfect Christians can do it.

That is why the Lord commanded the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit (be filled with the Holy Spirit).

Why are you telling me to be filled with the Holy Spirit so far?

That's verse 21. "Jesus said again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you."

That is, because he sent his disciples.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

What power will we receive when the Holy Spirit comes upon us?

You get the power to dig the ground.

If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you cannot just stay in Jerusalem.

The Holy Spirit leads us to Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Just like the “Appenzeller and Missionary Underwood” I mentioned at the beginning.

Dear all! I hope you receive the Holy Spirit. No, I want you to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Then I believe that life in this world will be transformed into heaven with grace.

That's why we sang 495:1 a little while ago, 'My soul has been blessed with the burden of heavy sins, and when I see that this world of sorrow is transformed into heaven. Hallelujah, praise me. All my sins are forgiven and I walk with the Lord Jesus, and the kingdom of heaven is everywhere.'

The secret to changing this fallen trend, economic depression, ideological crisis, political turmoil, despair and frustration is

We believe that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit, tread on their land, and occupy (change) their land.

Today is Easter Sunday.

On Easter Sunday morning, the Lord speaks to us.

Peace be with you, receive the Holy Spirit, for this I am sending you.

I will give you all the places where you step on the ground.

May you meet the Lord of the Resurrection and expand the kingdom of God with the thrill and faith of the Resurrection.

I wish you my best wishes.
