Title: Resurrection gives hope.
content t-->
Today's text records the stories of people when they had hope and when they lost it. This is the story of the two disciples on their way to Emmaus. These were people who loved Jesus and followed Jesus with hope. But after Jesus died on the cross, he lost hope and did not know what to do. So I was on my way home with a heavy sadness.(:17)
However, they begin to regain hope. There is only one reason that I have changed since I met Jesus. In verse 15, we see Jesus visiting and meeting people who have lost hope.
Amazing changes begin to happen to the two disciples who meet the resurrected Lord.
1. My eyes have become brighter.(:31)
When the eyes of the disciples on their way to Emmaus were blinded in despair, they could see no hope, no hope, nothing. After meeting the Lord, my eyes were opened and I could see the kingdom of God. When you see what you couldn't see, you begin to see hope.
I bless all of you who worship on Easter morning that you will be able to see God's hope even in the hopeless places of life through the risen Jesus.
2. My heart became hot.(:32)
When the Lord spoke and began to open the Bible, their hearts began to heat up. As I listened to the word of the Lord, my heart began to heat up. When the heart is warmed, it means that the emotion of the heart has arisen. And my heart began to move, and a decision was made. No matter how hard and difficult the work is, if your heart is warm, the hard work is not difficult. When our hearts begin to heat up, hope blooms and fills our hearts.
3. Began to act.(:33)
Looking at verse 33 and below, the disciples' behavior began to change. Verse 33 says, “At that time I got up and returned to Jerusalem.” It was already dark when the disciples were going back to Jerusalem. The disciples who met the resurrected Jesus were so happy that they couldn't just stay there and went up the dangerous night road again to Jerusalem.
When we have the assurance that we have received grace, that God's love is in our midst and that He is with us, we are transformed into faith that acts immediately.
The reason for these changes to the disciples was not because the circumstances and circumstances had changed, but because they met the resurrected Jesus. Jesus gave them a new hope.
Today the Lord will bring you lost hope once again. No matter how bad our circumstances and passports are, as long as the risen Lord walks with us, we still have hope. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will live a life of faith that rises once again with faith of hope.
