Title: Resurrection, Victory of Truth/Gospel of Matthew

Today's text tells the story of what happened two days after Jesus died on the cross. The second day of those events is the most amazing event in human history, and it can be said that it is the greatest event since the creation of the universe. It is the resurrection of Jesus.

They eventually succeeded in executing Jesus according to their will. But that alone did not dissuade them. It was because Jesus' words that he would die while he was alive and rise again on the third day continued to make them uneasy. So they sealed the tomb where Jesus' body was laid with a large rock and kept it thoroughly. In this way, they tried to completely cover up the fabricated and disguised facts. The death of Jesus was a great organized crime in which a good man was turned into a heinous criminal, sealed in a cave with his righteousness and truth, and forever buried in history to be forgotten. This was a case in which righteousness was defeated and injustice triumphed. The truth was defeated and the lie was triumphant. It was an event in which the good and weak were completely trampled upon and the evil strong stood firm.

But all the efforts of those who tried to perpetuate the triumph of evil, injustice, and lies were in vain in two days. It was a battle of victory and defeat. Because God raised Jesus Christ back to life. Jesus was resurrected. Look again at Matthew 28:1-4:

“After the sabbath had passed, and at dawn on the first day after the sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb, and there was a great earthquake, and an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled a stone down and sat down on it. It was white as snow, and the guards were terrified of him, and trembled and became like dead men."

The man who was dead in the tomb, Jesus, came to life, and those who kept his tomb became like dead people. When some of the guards, who were confused and confused, entered the city and informed the chief priests of what they were doing, they gathered and after discussion, they bought the soldiers with a lot of money, so that Jesus was not resurrected.

He made a final effort to cover up the truth by having his disciples falsely testify that they only stole his body and spread false facts. However, the resurrected Jesus lived for 40 days and showed his resurrection several times with many evidences, and the witnesses of that resurrection later testified of his resurrection to the whole world, so to this day, not only his resurrection but also his resurrection are concealed. Even the schemes of those who tried to do so are being passed on. The conspiracy that tried to suppress, imprison, and destroy righteousness and truth was in vain.

The fact that Jesus rose from the dead is proof that God lives.

The fact that Jesus rose from the dead is proof that God is righteous.

The fact that Jesus rose from the dead is proof that God is the master of history.

So that Jesus rose again teaches us that we must always be on God's side.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unshaken, and always devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

This Easter renews our will to faithfully bear the cross given to each of us as disciples of Jesus Christ in this world, renews our confidence in the ultimate triumph of righteousness and truth, and brings hope and peace in the Lord Jesus Christ. May happiness and joy fill our lives. And I hope that all of us can rightly and powerfully testify to the whole world the meaning of this resurrection of Christ, which is called the "victory of the truth."
