Bible Reading: 16:1-14
Title: Revenge of the Pride of Moab
God pointed out Moab's evil deeds and wrongdoings, and advised them to turn and treat Isael kindly. God offered them that they would live if they obeyed the command, but they continued to reject God's mercy and mercy. It was of no use for them to worship idols on the high places when they suffered disaster from God, and they were destroyed within three years. God foretells before judgment. We only listen to God's warning
If we listen and obey, we can avoid judgment.
1. Moab was proud. (1-8)
Moab's pride also included anger against God's people.
Their pride was in vain. They were proud of the worldly things they had. James 4:16 says, 'Now you boast in your vanity, and all these boasting are evil.' The end of pride is only mourning and devastation.
The prideful soul departs from the grace of God, and the powers of evil invade and trample us.
It will ruin your spiritual life like a desert. When we live a life of obedience that listens to God's word, our lives are enriched and can produce beautiful fruits abundantly.
2. Isaiah's weeping (9-11)
Isaiah's weeping is the tears that are shed because God's justice has not been spread out on this earth. The saints must indeed shed these tears.
Tears must be shed to save the wicked. These are tears that mourn the destruction of the wicked.
We weep because God's impartial is not realized. We weep because of our own incompetence.
Tears of repentance for one's sins and tears for God and neighbor are not dishonored even if they are often shed throughout life. Rather, God is glorified through these tears.
3. Idolatry and God's Judgment (12-14)
Their prayers were futile and futile.
Foolish and arrogant prayers will not be answered (verse 12). When you are faced with a difficult problem, realize Bilba right away and pray to God instead of trying to solve it with other human methods and means. We do not have to envy those who enjoy the world's riches and glory and are possessed by pride. Those who indulge in the pleasures of the world will soon come to a tragic end as God's judgment is confirmed. Those who enjoyed all kinds of glory and had great power were annihilated by God's judgment.
There is one remnant, but it has become one.
4. Determination and prayer
We must rely on a powerful God who hears and answers our supplications.
The God of mercy and mercy never turns away from our supplications.
