Title: Revive Your Work!
Contents
As we live in an age of rebellion and debauchery, we are experiencing the need for revival as much as this age.
When you open your spiritual eyes, you are groaning and suffering in sin all over the earth. Revival doesn't just mean increasing the number of members and increasing the size of the church, it means having a new desire for God. It means that our soul is renewed by experiencing grace. At a time when the foundations of this earth have fallen and our spiritual life has been devastated, only the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit can renew us. That is why we must pray for revival and earnestly long for true revival to come.
The longing for the revival of the Haba country stems from this desire. In the whirlwind of the great powers, the country is like a lantern, but when they saw that God's people were living foolish lives without realizing the right things, the country of Haba had no choice but to seek revival. What did the revival mean?
First, revival is restoration.
“Restoration” refers to returning to the original position. What was lost and sold is returned to its original place and owner. It means to get healthy again from the sick. So what does revival restore? In Psalm 51:2, David saw the restoration of the lost passion and purity of faith as restoration. It is to regain your first love for the Lord. In other words, revival is the restoration of our faith.
In the eyes of the Haba nation, Israel was like a fallen being that had been sold and lost in heart. It was a prayer to restore their original passion and love. So the real revival is the restoration of our faith and faith. Meeting the Lord again and having the faith of restoration is the way we live. Everyone! Let us pray for the restoration of our first tears. We must meet God again and hope that He will grant us the thrill of revival.
Second, revival refers to reviving (renewing).
Third, revival is what happens where we live.
Habakuk saw the spiritually dry and dead people recovering and reviving and standing as God's servants. So, revival is about standing up again as a man of God and praying for God's work to be done. In Ezekiel 37, the prophet Ezekiel saw numerous bones scattered in a valley. They were too many to number, and they withered and had no hope of surviving, but when Ezekiel prophesied the word of the Lord, the bones began to come to life, and they became the great army of the Lord. It was the vision and hope of the nation of Haba for the Israelites to become God's holy army again and stand in the field of the gospel. Rebuilding God's spiritually incompetent people back into God's holy army is a revival. Revival is what gives us the power of holiness. When this power of holiness is restored and when we stand up again as the army of God, the church restores the glory of God. Therefore, as we look at the dead souls of this age, we must ask that they rise up and become the armies of Christ, the holy servants of God.
