Let's restore love. Revelation 2:1-7
Shall we go back to the bathroom without water? Would you like to go back to a tasteless restaurant a second time?
Who wants to go to a church without love? If there is no other place, if there is only one place, you will have to go there. But if there is another place, you will not want to go there again. Such a place has lost its meaning of existence.
But the church in Ephesus lost that love. Why did you lose that love?
Ephesus is the first city in Asia Minor. Paul entered this city. So the church in Ephesus was built there.
At first, the church in Ephesus was founded and accepted the gospel. Only those who have experienced it know the emotion. I received the Lord at first, and so I enjoyed the price of when I first received grace in the Lord. In the presence of God, thanksgiving overflowed because of that emotion. And the confessions of sincere faith were full. What was your relationship with the saints like?
The Saints shared love with each other. When I received grace, I saw that I was saved through Christ Jesus, and my heart was enlarged more and more. I was able to accept everything. I could understand. I can forgive you. So love overflowed.
because of the many challenges
They kept the gospel by fighting heresy. As a result, the Lord commended them. That was great for them. It was a huge achievement for them. So the Lord commended them. But here's the problem: It was in the great battle of the Ephesian church that it lost its first hot and beautiful love.
No matter how important other things are, there are some things you shouldn't sacrifice. That is love. Truth without love is not truth. A church without love has lost its vitality as a church. Worship without love is worship that has lost its true taste. He said to restore love. The Lord has told us to restore love to the church that has lost it.
The Lord has given us a very severe warning. I will move your candlestick. People living in today's age have no sense whatsoever. We need to hear the trumpet of the Lord's stern warning, but we have no interest in it. The result is destruction. The saying that I will move your candlesticks here is an end to history. I will move your candlestick, and that is the end. There is no more hope. The life of the church is Christ Jesus. The love of Christ must arise in us. The church in Ephesus, where he lost that love, eventually moved the candlestick. What will the Lord say to our church? Is the purity of our love enough? Is it enough for the Lord to see?
