Title: Revelation 03:14-22 Be zealous
Content Be zealous (Revelation 3:14-22)
Introduction
Today is the Laodicea Church, the last message that Jesus gives to the seven churches in Asia Minor. I hope that there will be great benefits both physically and spiritually through Jesus' message to the Laodicea church today. There is also a children's play for 45 minutes today, so I'll give you a short message.
Main subject
Read verse 14 together.
“To the angel of the church of Laodicea, Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation, says:
In the same way as the 6 churches we have seen so far, we are preaching the word of God to the Laodicea church through the Lord's servant. Anyway, I hope that you will receive the word of your servant as the word of God today.
Yesterday I heard some people talking. ‘What kind of wives do you have so many wives in Toronto?’ This means that there are many pastors and evangelists in Toronto. But everyone who said this yesterday was positive. There are many servants of God in Toronto, so how much will God bless you? That is. Some people think negatively about many of the Lord's servants. This is a wrong idea. Even a pastor has his own style, so there are some cases where he can't see it, but judging a pastor based on this is bad.
Last week, I visited the families of Koreans who attend a Canadian church near Windsor, and their thoughts were so sound. There are churches wherever there are Koreans in foreign countries, and there are many churches wherever they go. Is it a good thing for you to have a church? Is it good in God's sight to have a fashion business? It's the same. I hope you all go wherever you go and brag about how many servants of the Lord there are or how many churches there are in Toronto.
Jesus rebukes the church in Laodicea.
Read verse 15.
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I want you to be cold or hot.”
The faith of the church in Laodicea is lukewarm faith. good is good In the church, they are deacons, in the world they are miscellaneous, and in Dongdaemun Market, two neighbors fought for a lot of money for decades, and they were hospitalized in the same room. Then the people who came to visit us, Elder! Butler Ansu! So the two knew whether each other was an elder or an ordained deacon. Where can all of you here go out proudly saying that I am the church deacon? Then faith is good. Or was it the guts?
Historically, tap water in Laodicea has always been lukewarm. Because there is a source of very cold water in the upper town and a source of very hot springs, and these two waters meet and come to Laodicea. So the waters of Laodicea are lukewarm. This is likened to faith.
Essu told me to do it cold or hot.
To be clumsy is unbelief. The Greek word for 'psros' refers to a state of being completely turned into a world of disbelief.
And hot is the Greek word 'Jestos', which is a fervent hot faith. It is a fervent faith, a strong faith, such as the name of the Lord that I want to sing so that my hands are raised, tears well up in prayer, and my heart bursts while praising the love of the Lord, which is always burning in my heart.
But the Lord tells us not to have faith that is neither this nor that, and do whether it is hot or cold. If you're going to live a life of faith like that, you'd better get rid of it.
If there is a little profit in front of you, it's Jesus, it's Sunday, it disappears and there are some difficulties, but only swearing and complaints come out of their mouths, people who cunningly dodge things, people who live only in church and are nothing outside, like wild rats, and so on. If you want to do it, you're going to give up your faith, eat, play, and go to hell.
In fact, this word means to do well. When parents go out to see their children and tell them to die, isn't it not telling them to die but to do well?
If you want to believe in Jesus anyway, you must believe in it. Let's quit drinking, smoking, and drinking alcohol, cut off all the wretched things of the world, and live a life of faith like a man without trembling because of the small profits that are visible in front of you with a big heart and proudly like a man. If someone around you says something, let's wrap it around appropriately and don't complain about anything the size of an eyebrow.
So, isn't that why God tells us to live our faith confidently like a man and a general manager in the Bible? This is fervent faith.
Let's look at verses 17 and 18. Here is the reason for not having a zealous faith life.
First, poor, second, blind, third. I mean, it's naked.
These are spiritual. No matter how much it seems, there is a spiritual void that is not filled in him, so he is not bold and cannot lead a zealous life of faith.
If we are filled among us, we become bold.
If we are to be filled with something, we must be filled with Jesus.
Let's look at verse 20 together. They tell you to open the door and live with the Lord.
That's right. If we are filled with Jesus among us, we will be relieved.
Therefore, it seems that a person without Jesus inside is making only a sound and doing something loud and noisy, but it is not fruitful and has no results.
Dear saint!
Let us long for the fullness of Jesus first among us.
Let us desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit first among us.
So, whatever you do, I hope you have a fervent faith that will bear fruit. This is the Lord's message to the Church of Laodicea.
conclusion
The message of Jesus to the Laodicea church demands a full-fledged faith and zealous faith. Let us long for Jesus to be filled among all of us.
