Title: Righteousness and Victory/Malachi 3:13-4

Contents Main text: Chapter 3:13-4

righteousness and victory

Malachi first discusses the attitude of the godly, then speaks of the relationship between the godly and the ungodly, the victory of the godly, and the day of the Lord.

1, suggesting the futility of ungodliness = 3:13-18

“For you say, it is vain to serve God” verse 14.

They resisted the Lord “with hard words” and blasphemed verse 13, saying that it is futile to serve God now.

they go further

1, keep the commands of the Lord

2, It is futile to act sadly.

3, Those who do evil will prosper

4, It is said that those who tempt God will be spared woe = Verse 15

But the devout do not think like this."They say, "The LORD certainly hears it, and the names of those who fear him are written in the "book of remembrance", but those who do not are "not written."

Jehovah's use of tablets to write something comes from several places = Exodus 32:32, Psalm 56:8.139:16, Ezekiel 13:9, Dan 7:10, Revelation 20:12

“On that just day,” the Lord “makes them His special possession, and spares them, to distinguish between “the righteous and the wicked,” those who serve God and those who do not serve Him (v. 18).

2, There will be days of hardship for the wicked

“Behold, the days come, like a fiery furnace, and the proud and those who do evil will be like c stubble.

Some view Malachi 4 as the beginning of a separate chapter, but it is common to view it as a continuation of chapter 3.

The wicked are “arrogant and evildoers” verse 1, and they will be judged like the roots and branches of a tree are consumed and destroyed.

But in contrast to these, “the one who fears the name of Jehovah” rises in the sun of righteousness with a healing beam

Its joy is like a calf running out of a stall = Verse 2

And their men trample the wicked (verse 3)

3, there is conclusive content =4:4-6

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.”

The state before the messenger of the covenant came = Mal 3:1 The distinction between the righteous, the wicked, and the wicked is clear.

The day when the messenger of the covenant will come is “a day of fear” = verse 5

With that day in mind, we must remember and obey the “ordinances and ordinances” that God commanded Moses in verse 4

"Elijah" Comes Before the Dread Day Comes and Brings Change to Society

1, A father's heart is for his children

2, children's hearts return to their fathers

This conflict arose from the return of Greek philosophy and pagan customs from Israel.

However, when Elijah comes, conflicts like this disappear and an atmosphere of reconciliation is created.

Verse 6 shows that the law and the prophets contribute greatly to the preparation for the coming of the Lord (Reference Mark 9:4; Luke 24:44).
