Recording a person's biography is called a biography (傳記). It records not only people but also the history of the church. But if you read biography, there are a lot of special inflatables that do the same thing as us and wrap it up like something great. However, these days, you can see a little change in the part of recording the biography, which is that we are thinking about the person's behavior more fundamentally and recording the biography.
With the question of 'why did that person act like that?', we delve into a more fundamental and psychological way to record the situation, mind, and thoughts of the person who made the action, not just the record of the action. It is said to have changed in a way. In this way, a person's rise and fall, rise and fall, is recorded through more psychological research.
Then, on what basis does the Bible record the rise and fall of a person, the growth and decline of a person? If you look at what is recorded in Deuteronomy 28, if you obey the word of God, you will be blessed even when you go in and out, and if you disobey God, you will fail even if you go in and out. It can be seen that it depends on how much you obey.
In my opinion, Hezekiah can be chosen among the top three kings of Israel. But King Hezekiah's Ahaz was an idolatrous king. Also, Manasseh, who succeeded Hezekiah as king, is recorded as the most wicked of all kings. According to the Bible, a person's rise and fall, success or failure, does not seem to matter what kind of process the person is in during childhood. If so, what kind of relationship with God you are living in seems to be more important than anything else.
The phenomenon that occurred after Adam and Eve sinned against God is the severance of their relationship. The relationship with God is broken, and the relationship between people is also broken. So the relationship between Adam and Eve becomes distant from each other. The next phenomenon is the broken relationship between humans and nature.
So, what is sin in the Bible? Thinking of Adonijah, the son of David in the Bible we read today, we can think about what sin is. According to 1 Kings 1:5 in the Bible today, Adonijah becomes the king himself. There is neither God nor his father David. The kings and priests in Israel cannot be without God's anointing. It is sin that removes God from my life.
In this way, if I commit a sin that removes God from my life, there will be sympathizers who sympathize with it. There should be someone who says, 'It's wrong,' about something wrong, but when we commit a sin of excluding God in our lives, someone who agrees with it will appear.
It seems that everything is going according to plan, as I have sat in a high position by myself, and there are people who acknowledge it. So Adonijah throws a big feast in a place called Soheleth near Ernogel. And many who acknowledge Adonijah gather and feast together.
At this time, a loud shout was heard from the city of Jerusalem. To Adonijah and his followers, wondering what the shout was, Jonathan son of Abiathar the priest came and said, “O king, your father King David has now given the kingship to Solomon. Now Zadok and Nathan the priest are riding Solomon on a donkey, going down to the fountain of Gihon, and anointing Solomon's head with the oil of the Holy Spirit from God.” The news was that the king officially recognized in Israel was Solomon.
It is said that at this time, all those who recognized Adonijah as king and were present at the banquet fled as the ebb tide. We see through Adonijah once again that this arrogance, arrogance and arrogance that departed from God, and all the things that humans made apart from God, collapse in an instant.
Only God could rely on Adonijah like this. So Adonijah ran to the altar and grabbed the horns. Then Solomon became king. “If you obey God’s word from now on, not a single hair on your head will be damaged. But if you do evil, you will be judged.”
However, Adonijah, who had this opportunity, got better and left God again, and in the end, Adonijah was judged and had no choice but to die.
Who is the funniest? Those who depend on God in their lives are the ones who prosper. who is the one who is ruined? Those who remove God because they have a little money, a little education, a little health, and ability are people who are destroyed. Who is the successful one? “I cannot live without God.” Those who trust in God are successful. Who is the weak one? As he pounded his stomach, saying that he could do well without God, he said, “I have piled up a huge amount of grain in my warehouse, so let’s eat well and live well for the next few years.” Jesus says: “If you take your soul this evening, whose will all these be?”
Those who exclude God are bound to decline. The members worshiping today pray in the name of the Lord that your life will always be prosperous and successful depending on God.
