Title: Rise and Walk / Acts 3:1-10
Content: Get up and walk/Acts 3:1-10
The First Miracle of the Early Church in Jerusalem
When the filling of the Holy Spirit came to the 120 disciples who had gathered in Mark's upper room to pray earnestly, the disciples began to speak in different tongues. The reaction of those who witnessed this was truly explosive. At Peter's sermon, as many as 3,000 people repented and returned to the Lord. The Jerusalem Church, which was born in this way, showed a beautiful image of gathering, learning the Word, praying, giving, and fellowshipping. So he was praised by the people, and the Lord made the number of those who were saved increase day by day.
Today's text is the first miracle since the birth of the Early Church. This happened while Peter and John were going up to the temple to pray. As they were going up to the temple to pray, there was another man going in the same direction. He was a disabled man who had never walked since birth, and he was meant to sit at the temple entrance and beg for those who came and went. How did you come to this place? Is it to meet and worship God? Or did you come expecting only worldly blessings?
What I have, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
Peter said to the beggar, “Silver and gold I have none, but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk” (verse 6). What do we have? Is Jesus like Peter? The apostle Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. ” (Galatians 2:20). Also, is Jesus in our church? Money is more in the world. There are many more gorgeous and magnificent buildings in the world. The most precious thing we have in our church is Jesus Christ! That's him. He is the hope of mankind. He is the one who gives salvation, eternal life, blessing, and peace. When you meet him, all your life's problems will be solved.
Peter proclaims in faith in front of the large crowds that come and go through the temple. “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” Then, a miracle of healing occurred. Even today, when we proclaim in the name of Jesus, the work of healing will appear. Don't procrastinate or hesitate. Do not doubt. Rise up in faith. Trust him he will heal you. He has healed us with his whips, and has promised that we will be healed when those who believe lay their hands. do you believe Please believe it.
Another helping hand
In verse 7, Peter took the sick man by the right hand and lifted him up. Then he got up. It is the power of the name of Jesus that healed the sick, but Peter's helping hand was added to this. Then his feet and ankles got stronger and he jumped up. That's right. When someone is weak and collapses... He needs someone's loving hand to hold his hand. Who will do this? It's you.
Aaron and Hur held Moses' arms when Moses went up to the mountain to pray with both hands up when he was fighting the Amalekites. As a result, Israel was victorious. When Jesus saw the faith of four friends who had brought a paralyzed man, Jesus healed the paralytic. Please pray for each other and be a helping hand.
healed sick
What was the result of Peter giving a command and reaching out to help in the name of Jesus? Verse 8 says that he, who had never been able to walk since he was born until he was 40 years old, was immediately healed, jumped and walked, and sang praises to God as he entered the temple. I hope that the same grace of healing will come to you at this time as well.
prayer for healing
Now let us all pray for healing in Jesus name. Jesus heals your sickness. Also, pray for each other and intercede for healing. Have faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. There is nothing impossible with God. I bless you that you will be set free from all diseases when you pray in the name of Jesus.
Now close your eyes together.
What disease do you have now? What problems in life need to be solved? What have you given up on? Have faith that you can be healed at this time. Jesus, who was with Peter, is still working the same today. If the work of healing appeared even for the crippled who had no faith, if you respond with faith, the work of healing will surely appear. Now put your hand on your sore spot. If you have a problem, put your hand on your chest. I will pray for you. Also, you too, confidently face your diseases and problems with faith and command in the name of Jesus. Miracles are yours. Blessings are yours. The treatment is yours. Let's all pray together. “Lord~”
