Title: Road to Rome
Contents
Today's text is what happened while Paul was on his voyage from Caesarea to Rome.
1. Don't be fooled by the beauty of the name only
In the Mediterranean, there is a sudden typhoon in winter, so Paul's party arrives at a place called Mihang while sailing on a boat and plans to overload. However, when he discovers that the port is not as good as the name suggests, he changes his plans and decides to go to Bonix to overburden, and then he runs into a great storm and suffers.
It is no exaggeration to say that more than 60% of human suffering is caused by being deceived by others. Why would I be deceived? Because most people judged by their appearance. In this world, there are countless beautiful things that are only names.
2. Do not sympathize with the wrong choice/
Opinions were divided on whether to overdo it or not. Paul was of the opinion that sailing was dangerous even though it was inconvenient, so we had to overwork the port and leave in the spring of the following year. However, the captain and shipowners are of the opinion that it is more beneficial to overwork in Bonix for inconvenience and economic benefit.
People on board also follow the decisions of the captain and the owner for their own comfort. As a result, everyone will suffer from the storm.
So our choice should be safety over complacency. We must choose life over material things. You should choose permanent over temporary.
3. Don't get carried away by cheap prosperity/
When they were about to leave Mihang, the gentle south wind blew, so I thought it was a good thing and liked it. However, it is not long before a typhoon called Yuragulo hits him, and he suffers to death for two weeks.
Sometimes people feel anxious about getting something after they have done something against their conscience or against their faith. If the punishment comes at that time, you will repent of your wrongdoing and will never do it again. But strangely, nothing is happening, and it seems that he is healthier, his family is peaceful, his business is prosperous, and his life is prosperous. But what you need to know is how long that prosperity will last.
You must know that prospering even after doing something wrong is a curse, not a blessing.
