Title: Romans 10:15 Healthy Saints
There is a saying, “If you lose money, you lose a little; if you lose your honor, you lose a lot; if you lose your health, you lose everything.” That is why health is so important.
However, we believers should have physical health, but we also need to be more spiritually healthy. To become spiritually healthy saints, three elements must be in harmony.
One has to work hard through prayer, which is spiritual breathing. If we do not breathe, we die spiritually, just as our body dies if we do not breathe. The Lord said, "Until now you have asked for nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive" (John 16:24). Also, in Proverbs 8:17-18, it says, "I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me." The Lord said that if you ask, you will get it, and if you earnestly seek the Lord, you will find it.
I hope that you will have a year of victory as a spiritually and physically healthy saint who meets the living Lord, receives the Lord's answers, fulfills the wishes of the heart, and receives the Lord's love by diligently practicing prayer, which is spiritual breathing.
Next, we must diligently read and meditate on the Word, which is spiritual food. If you do not eat the food of the flesh, your body will become sick. If you do not eat the word, which is the food of the spirit, you will become a spiritually weak saint. Just as believers must eat well to eat the food of the body to be healthy, they must eat the word, which is the food of the spirit, to become healthy.
Finally, we must diligently evangelize, a spiritual exercise. The reason many Christians are suffering from spiritual obesity is because they do not do evangelism, which is a spiritual exercise. So, from the first Sunday of 2009, our church has organized an evangelism task force to conduct evangelism training and mobilize all members to focus on evangelism.
Just as people work hard for physical health, if they go out into the world and evangelize diligently, they will become spiritually healthy and receive great blessings from the Lord.
Especially this year, I hope that all the members of the church will make an effort to pray and evangelize for spiritual health. In particular, I hope that you will work harder in the evangelism movement, which is the most lacking, so that you can become physically and spiritually healthy members.
