Title: Romans 11:25-36 To show mercy

Romans 11:25-36 To show mercy Tome: 11. Salvation (recovery). 2012. 9. 30.

Introduction

: The history of Israel is solid evidence. God's infinite love for people does not change. therefore anyone

By calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and asking Him for salvation, you can restore your relationship with God.

This is evident in the history of Israel.

1. God's wonderful revelation concerning the Jews. (25-26)

The wonderful revelation to Israel comes from Paul.

One). This revelation was a mystery until Paul appeared. (25)

What are the secrets revealed in the Bible? ① Something that was not known until now, but has now appeared. ② What is now known.

③ It has been a secret for a while, but now it is revealed.

2). Israel's stubbornness is only "part". (25)

Even at the time of Jesus, there were Jews who followed Christ, and after that, through the centuries

There were Jews who followed Christ. Not all Jews were hard on the gospel.

The Jews rejected Christ, and they still do. But the believing Jews continued to exist,

will always exist in the future. Israel's stubbornness is only partial.

3). Israel's stubbornness is temporary. (26)

Israel is stubborn only until the full number of Gentiles come in, but they are saved. (2)

4). The Lord Jesus Christ restores Israel. (25-26)

① Israel refers to the restoration of the nation as it was abandoned as a community or nation, not as an individual.

② Paul speaks of an event that will arouse global interest, and he refers to this as a “secret”.

③ “All Israel” (26) does not mean spiritual Israel. The nation was viewed as a single entity.

5). Jesus Christ promises to restore Israel. (26-27)

The Bible briefly mentions that Israel will be restored in the future. the important point is?

① Through the appearance of Christ, the great Savior, Israel turns to the Gospel.

② Christ, the great savior, forgave Israel's ungodliness and fulfilled God's covenant with Israel,

He will take away their sins.

2. God is pleased with the ancestors of Israel. (28-29)

One). God had foreordained Israel's rejection. (28)

“They are enemies because of you” Israel's rejection was foreordained, but never caused them to sin. (Approx. 1:13~14)

You are talking about the whole nation.

① Jews also accept Christ. However, the number is small. Therefore, it is said to be the whole.

② A far greater number of Gentiles accept Christ as their Savior.

* If only Jews, then Gentiles should not accept Christ.

2). God still loves Israel. (28)

“We are loved by our ancestors”

Why did God love Israel?

① The ancestors of Israel were godly people. (Romans 11:16)

② Because God has no regrets about His promises.

Key point: God does not change his heart. He is the same and unchanging.

Therefore, through Israel He will fulfill His gifts and calling to perfection.

3. The Restoration of Israel. (30-36)

There is confirmation of the restoration of Israel.

One). Mercy for the believer and witness to the Jews. (30-31)

History is a historical aspect that will be repeated.

① Before Christ came, the Gentiles did not know or obey God, but the Jews knew God,

obeyed him

② Ultimately, the Jews rejected God by killing the Son of God, Jesus Christ. I didn't believe (or obey) either.

③ Therefore, God turned to the Gentiles.

Key point: The Word of God, the Son of God, and His promises were given through the Jews. therefore

We are indebted to the Jews.

“Now has mercy” The Jews will be restored by God's grace.

2) God's holiness and mercy. (32)

“Contain” means to be confined in a certain place. close. It means to lock.

Because people choose the path of sin and choose their own path in life, God allows them to do their own thing.

This is to expose the sins of human nature as it is.

God wants to have mercy on both Jews and Gentiles, and he does so.

But before coming to God

① That you are a sinner and that you are a mortal creature

② We must believe that God exists and has mercy on those who diligently seek Him.

3). God's glorious plan for the world. (33~36)

(1) God's glorious plan for the world includes God's great works.(33)

① God's infinite wisdom and knowledge: God knows how to get things done perfectly.

② God's immeasurable judgment and way: It cannot be measured nor found.

(2) No one can measure God's plan. (33)

① The Bible says (1 Timothy 6:16; Job 11:7; Ecclesiastes 3:11)

② Believers have the heart of God.

* It is not that the ignorant can understand the will of God, but that God gives to those who believe,

It means revealing the truth.

(3). No one has the right to receive the gift of God. (34-35)

① No one can make God indebted to him.

(Matthew 7:22-23; Romans 3:20; Gal 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-5)

② Man has nothing to boast about because of the fall. (Romans 3:19-20)

(4) God alone is the source of all things;
