Title: Romans 12:1-2 New Change

Contents

Bible Verse: Romans 12:1-2

new change

Occasionally, I hear a greeting from people I haven't seen in a long time, "Has nothing changed? How do you feel when you hear that greeting? There is "The Tale of Mr. Koiner" by Bert Brecht. Mr. Coiner met an old man he had known for a long time on the street. He greeted the old man by saying, "You haven't changed at all." Then the old man's face turned pale. The old man was shocked to find out that nothing had changed in the months, years, or even decades that passed before he met Connor. Change is a necessary process for living organisms. Therefore, it is not something to be proud of that nothing has changed, but it is rather natural that it is changing.

However, there is something to think about. When we think of change, we look at "how much" it has changed. There are more important things than how big you are, how much you have grown, and how much you change. How does it change? In physics, there are scalars and vectors. A scalar only represents a size. A vector, on the other hand, has magnitude and direction. Size alone cannot describe it properly. There needs to be a direction to know properly. In many cases, our changes stayed in Scala. Only the magnitude and amount of change were counted. Only “how much has it changed” was the problem. Such is the aspect of change that is taking place in our society. Why is the restructuring and public funding implemented three years ago being repeated again now? It was only a matter of “how much” and neglected “how”. It is now a new year. Clearly, the time has come for us to change. How should we change?

1. Now you have to give your life. You must give your life to God, not just your words, but your heart. "Therefore, brethren, I beseech you by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." The Israelites worshiped God with sacrifices. The most common sacrifices are burnt offerings. It is a sacrifice in which animals are cut into pieces and burned on the altar without leaving any residue. It was a sacrifice signifying complete devotion. Also, there is a meal. The grain offering is a sacrifice made by grinding grains completely into fine flour. It is a sacrifice that means sacrificial service. The sacrifice Paul was talking about could be a burnt offering or a grain offering. Whatever the sacrifice, what Paul is trying to say is clear. It is to make our bodies completely sacrificed to God. It is to give our lives to God. Absolutely, completely.

2 Christians should not imitate this generation. It says in verse 2. “Do not be conformed to this generation” The New Translation of the Bible translates “this generation” as “the wind of this age”. What we should take as an example and follow is not the trend of this age, it is not the fashion of this age. We must not conform to the ways of the world. That cannot be the goal of our lives. To not be conformed to this generation is not to say that we should turn our backs on the world. Christians are not people who reject the world. It is God who created the world. God is the Lord of the world. God wants our life. That life is not a life in a vacuum, but a life in the world. We must live in the world as good citizens, good members of society, and good families. God is pleased with it. But the real problem is to keep up with the fashion of the world. It is to follow the trends of the world without thinking. That is what we have to reject, not the world.

Paul says: “Let us discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” We define God's will as good, pleasing to God, and revealing God's perfection. God's will is good, not evil. God's will is to please God, not to make Him sad. God's will is not to hide the glory of God, but to reveal the perfection of God. Now we have to discern. No matter how plausible the trend of the world seems, even if everyone else is living like that, if it is not God's will, we must reject it. You must give up. We are Christians to live God's will. If you look at the river, dead things such as wood chips and garbage are washed away with the current. However, living fish flow back against the river. We are those who have received the life of God. So let's live according to God's will.

Dear all,

Let's make a new change. Now let's give our lives to God. Let the world wind no longer become the goal of our lives. Now let's live if we understand God's will
