Introduction

: How should a believer relate to other believers?

How should I treat it and how should I act?

① True love without lies (9-10)

② Serve the Lord (11)

③ Overcome tribulation (12)

④ Satisfy your needs without self-interest (13)

1. True love without lies (9-10)

“Without lies” means no hypocrisy or pretense, but true, honest, and sincere love.

The love mentioned here is for all people, including believers.

Believers should not treat others with hypocrisy or pretense or have any hidden motives in their relationships with others.

Can not be done. Show them love and respect, favor and affection, fraternity and concern.

One). Hate evil and love it

“Hate” means to dislike terribly and to shudder.

The reason I hate evil is because evil destroys people's lives.

“Love” wants the best for people.

The important thing is that the believer hates evil in love and must show that love by fighting against evil. (Romans 12:9, 1 Corinthians 10:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:22, James 4:17, 1 Pet 3:11, ...Psalm 34:14, 97:10,)

Evil against which believers must fight

: Hunger and poverty, wounds and pain, drunkenness and drugs, curses and resentment, sensual attire,

Injustice, wealth and division, disease and suffering, ignorance and ungodly education,

Family discord and divorce, vulgar and obscene conversations,

Immorality and destructive sex life, selfishness and greed, corruption and death.

2). You have to love while you belong to the good.

“Belong” to join. hold together attach. It has the meaning of sticking together.

Those who believe belong to the good and must strive to make everyone know and experience the good.

A believer shows true love when he keeps and practices goodness by himself to the end.

(Luke 6:35, Ro 12:9, Gal 6:10, 1 Tim 6:18, Hebrews 13:16, 1 Pet 2:15)

3). We must love our brothers (one family) in the Lord with kindness and fraternity.

“Friendship” means the love that exists between family members (the members of the family and brothers and sisters in the church).

The church must live in love, and living that way is a peaceful life.

(John 13:34-35, Romans 12:10, 1 Corinthians 13:4, Ephesians 4:32, Philippians 2:1-2, Col 3:12, 2 Peter 1:5-7, 1 John 3:14)

4). We must love others by first respecting them.

“Respect” means to respect, respect.

“Be first” includes the meaning of to go ahead, lead, set an example.

Believers should respect each other first and show their example.

It will overflow with love and concern, warmth and tenderness, great power and courage.

Application: The reason the church and the saints are divided is because they are treated as follows.

Being ignored. not respected not being respected not appreciated. no position given.

no right given. no seat given. not being acknowledged Etc.

(Romans 12:3. 10. Philippians 2:3-4. 1 Corinthians 10:33. 1 Corinthians 10:24.)

2. Serve the Lord (11)

One). To be diligent and not to be lazy.

“lazy” is indolent. movement is slow helpless it's not easy hesitate. means to procrastinate

“Diligence” is diligence. effort. means sincerity. (Counsels are included.)

① Be diligent (not idle or lethargic)

② Be zealous (don't be lazy and indolent)

③ Be careful (don't hesitate or procrastinate.)

Believers must serve the Lord only with diligence, zeal, and sincerity.

You should never live your life in a way that is sloppy or wasting your time.

(Romans 12:11, Ephesians 4:28, 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, Hebrews 6:12, Proverbs 14:23, 19:15, 20:13, Ecclesiastes 9:10)

2). It's about being zealous.

“Passion” becomes hot. boil. In the sense of being burned, it must be hot, boiling, and burning toward Christ.

Why should we be zealous? (Romans 12:11, 1 Corinthians 14:12, 2 Tim 1:6, Hebrews 5:11-12, 2 Pet 1:10, 13, 3:14)

The world is staggering, dying, and doomed to be forever cut off from God.

There are millions of people dying of hunger in this world. Suffering from selfishness, sin, greed, sickness, war, and death,

There are people who stumble with all kinds of pain.

3). serve the Lord

It is to serve only for God and His kingdom (focus on the Lord in everything).

(Romans 12:11, Col 3:23-24, Hebrews 12:28, Ephesians 6:5-7, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Deut 10:12, Psalm 2:11)

3. Overcome tribulation (12)

Believers have the ability to overcome the problems, difficulties, pains, tribulations, and sufferings of life.

One). You should rejoice in hope.

The hope of believers is God (presence, concern, and care).

God removes tribulation for the believer or saves him through tribulation.

Not only do we hope for God's saving power, but we also rejoice in the hope that God gives us.

(Romans 12:12, Titus 2:12-13, 1 Pet 1:3-4, 6-9, 4:12-16, 2 Corinthians 6:10, Hebrews 10:34)

2). You must be patient in tribulation.

“endure” means to endure, to maintain, to endure, to persist, to endure bravely.

When believers face tribulation, they actually experience great power from the Lord.

(Romans 12:12, Phil 4:13, Ephesians 3:16, 3:20, Isaiah 41:10)

3). You should always strive to pray.

“Always work hard” to pay constant attention. be passionately interested constantly be sincere It means to wait patiently and be patient.

The believer overcomes tribulation by continuously paying attention to God and waiting for His saving power.

(Matthew 7:7-8, 26:41, John 16:24, Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 1 Chronicles 16:11)

4. Selflessly satisfy needs (13)

One). It must be provided to fill the need.

We should share with those in need by giving generously to those who believe.

(Romans 12:13, 15:25-27, 16:1-2, Acts 4:34-35, 11:29-30, 2 Corinthians 8:1-4, 9:1-2)

2). You should try to treat them with hospitality. (You have to open your house to the saints in need)

② All saints should reach out to strangers in need. (Hebrews 13:2)

③ All members of the church should strive to provide hospitality in a way of serving and without grumbling. (1 Peter 4:9)

④ Widows should strive to treat each other with special service. (1 Timothy 5:10)
