Title: Romans 01:5-7 The Called One
Contents Bible text ..... Romans 1:5-7

one who is called
◐Text ◑
5 Through him we have received grace and apostleship, for the sake of his name's sake we believe among all the Gentiles for obedience.
6 You also are among them, the called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ to all who are in Rome, loved by God and called to be saints.
◐Introduction◑
God has called us to be saints. The purpose for which God has called us
1. It is to lead to holiness.
Because God has already sanctified us by the blood of Christ, we must live holy. And while the work of holiness is in progress, we must live holiness because we believe in a God who will glorify Him in the last days (Eph 5:26, 27).
1) We must live spiritually holy. That is, we must cut off all idols.
2) We must live physically holy. This is because our body is the temple where God dwells (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). We need a decision to cut off obstacles to our life of faith.
2. It is for fellowship.
We have fellowship with the Lord. Because Jesus came into the world in the flesh, the disciples had fellowship with the Lord, but we have fellowship with the Holy Spirit who comes to us and dwells in us. Those who have fellowship with the Lord love the Lord (John 14:18-21). We also have spiritual fellowship with the Lord (Colossians 3:16).
3. To call you to glory.
Even though we may suffer now, we have eternal glory (1 Peter 5:10, Romans 8:18). Therefore, we must look to the glory to come.
◐Conclusion◑
As those called by God, let us serve God well and become saints who fulfill God's will
