Title: Romans 06:23 What is Salvation?
Contents Romans 6:23
It is said that if you go to church, you will be saved. Is it really like that? Going to church and being saved are two completely different things. Just as attending the gym for a long time has nothing to do with salvation, attending church for a long time does not automatically save you. How can I be saved? Only by solving the problem of “sin” can we be saved.
People do not like to admit that they are sinners. No one likes to be called a sinner towards himself, who works hard to provide for his family and live a good life. However, the Bible speaks of more fundamental sins beyond the petty sins between people. “Not knowing God” is the correct concept of sin.
If I don't know the grace of my parents who gave birth to me and raised me, isn't it a sin? If you do not know ‘God the Father,’ who is the source of life, it can be called a greater ‘sin’. There are those who say that tens of thousands of volts of lightning struck the primordial sea to produce proteins, which became amoebas, evolved to form mammals, and finally came to humans via apes.
Even evolutionists candidly admit that there is no so-called “missing link” to prove evolution between species. Evolution is not a science. The scientific interpretation is that if a doll came out while digging, it was not made by the action of water and soil, but someone made a doll and buried it there. If you think that it is a coincidence that a person lives on one of the hundreds of millions of stars in the universe, then that person is not a scientist.
The writer of the book of Job said that God “bounded the earth to nothing” (6:27). In other words, the Earth was suspended in the air. It is God's own advanced technology. And he made people to live there. So, if God is the source of our life, how can it not be a sin if we do not know this?
Adam and Eve came out of the Garden of Eden after making a declaration of independence that they would eat the fruit of the forbidden fruit and become like God. After that, we were all born in a ‘land without God’ and became citizens of that land. That is why the Bible says that “sin entered the world through one man, Adam.” Ultimately, resolving this is solving sin and receiving salvation.
Salvation, in a word, is the restoration of a relationship with God. How can I restore my relationship with God? I cannot lead salvation in my own strength. In order to do that, you must have strength equal to that of God. We are not perfect. Salvation is not possible in my own strength. Only God can do this.
Man left God, but God loved man and came to us. So Jesus came. Jesus went to the cross to pay the “price of separation” that I had to pay.
The cross is the bridge between us and God. Salvation is believing in the existence of this bridge and restoring your relationship with God through it.
Salvation is not complicated. It is not something that can be achieved by having a tearful touch or something hot that overturns me. Salvation is achieved by acknowledging Jesus Christ and professing to believe with your own mouth in order to restore your relationship with God. If we restore our relationship with God and find the true meaning of life, joy will come no matter how we live. live with that joy.
