Salvation in hope (Romans 8:24-25)

Therefore, Christians can rejoice in the Lord, rejoice in the glory of God, and enjoy the Christian life even though they are living in a time of suffering because they have been saved in hope. When we say, “We are saved by hope (in hope, in hope),” we do not mean that hope is the instrument of salvation, but rather something objective.

Waiting for the glorious day to come, the event that all creatures groan and groan and look forward to, even we who have received the firstfruits of the Holy Spirit, is not something we can fully see and enjoy in the present.

We belong to Christ and have already been saved from sin and guilt by his blood. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Having died to the old man, he never goes back under the law. This is not something that is repeated multiple times (justification - aorist tense).

The past is absolutely over and liquidated. However, they were not saved from the power of sin, that is, even from the power of sin and the pollution of sin. Therefore, although we have already been saved, we are being saved (sanctification - present tense). .

But not only our souls but also our bodies will be redeemed and glorified to receive a complete and final salvation (glorified - future tense). now we are not there Now that we have received only the firstfruits (verse 23), the time is coming for a full harvest.

This is an important doctrine of Christianity that we grasp. Therefore, we are referring to one category of "hope". It means that we have not yet reached there, but are only saved "in the realm of hope". But it is certain and clear, a solid and strong anchor of the soul (Hebrews 6:19), and a helmet of safety (1 Thessalonians 5:8), which in no way puts us to shame (Romans 5:5).

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1),” which makes us aware of what God has done for us in Christ and assures us of what he will do in the future, so we are saved by faith. But faith provokes hope, and it rises and stands waiting for it upon the assurance of faith. So, in some ways, hope is stronger than faith.

In other words, faith brings us to the perfect work of Christ and convinces us of what He has redeemed for us (substantial and evidence). But the hope is to make us look forward to the redemption. Because we are saved in this hope, it means that we can focus and focus our eyes on the glory of God that is approaching without clinging to the passing world.

One problem that appeared in the early church was that they expected to hold onto something they should belong to and hope for in the future. "Who can expect what he sees?" - "For we walk by faith and not by what we see" (2 Corinthians 5:7).

The phrase "If we hope for what we do not see, let us wait with patience" speaks of the truth as a universal principle (eg, if an inheritance is inherited by a will, it does not happen immediately. To receive it, it is common sense to wait for the ownership to pass to him and be acknowledged as his). The apostle exhorts us with the logic to wait patiently if we are saved in hope, and so look forward to it.

A Christian is not a fickle man who trusts in God and soon becomes discouraged. And don't lose your balance easily. However, there were some who lost their balance in the early church. "...Let anyone who does not want to work, let him not eat..." (2 Thessalonians 3:10) is not a rebuke for laziness. The apostle speaks of people who are very spiritual and have a very clear knowledge of the Lord's return. They were so confident that they spent all their time looking at the sky and not working to make a living. But the Christian's head is in heaven and his feet are firmly on the ground, so he must live a balanced life.

The knowledge a Christian has by the illumination of truth is not merely theoretical or academic, and the hope he has thereby is not an illusion or a feeling at all. Hope is something real that affects a person's life and way of life. As a practical matter that affects our lives, we can say, "For me to live is Christ, and to die is also acceptable."

The world we see is a fleeting moment, but it is so important and big to us. But we must know what the world is and test it according to the teachings of truth. If you have looked through it with insight, you should not get caught up in it, but rather protect yourself from it.

Who are we and who are we?

They died with Christ, were raised up, and are seated together on the throne. Our spirits have been redeemed in this way, and we have reached the place of glory, but when the Lord comes again, our bodies will also be redeemed and appear in glory. This is what we, as well as all creatures, groan, suffer, and look forward to.

Is this really the truth? We must think, pay attention, and meditate according to the Word of God. And we need to check and test how it affects our lives. What good is it if the knowledge of our heads does not lead us there? The problem is thinking of the truth and not meditating on it.

If you know God's creation and providence of redemption, know the world, and know the grace of the Lord and who you are, it is natural to act worthy of God's grace. But how much do we think according to the truth? How much do I meditate on the Lord's gospel and test how it affects my life? This is Christianity and the way the early Christians knew...

We must look up, look to Christ, and see what Christ is preparing for us.

That's what makes everything change. This is how the Holy Spirit helps us and the only way he sanctifies us with the truth.
