Title: Romans 08:31-39 God's unbreakable love
Contents The unbreakable love of God (Romans 8:31-39)
Romans chapters 1-11 are about doctrine and chapters 12-16 are about ethics. However, among the doctrinal parts of Romans, chapters 9, 10, and 11 deal with the issue of Israel, so the actual doctrine can be considered up to chapter 8. The precious doctrine of "justification by faith", the essence of our faith, should be considered as the end of its explanation in Chapter 8. The last part of today's verse, chapter 8, is a song about the assurance of salvation that we are justified by faith. In this section, Shindeuk Lee's doctrine is explained to the climax, and he realizes deeply and is moved by God's love, and says, "What can I say about this?" These are the problems of food, clothing, and shelter, which are the greatest concern of those who have a physical body, and the problem of our being sinners.
Paul is preaching the gospel on these issues. It is said that these problems are not a problem for Christians. Those who believe in God, believe in Jesus, and live by faith do not need to worry about anything because God, who gives everything as a gift, is the Father of my love. In particular, there are people who have doubts and concerns about salvation, but today's Word clearly gives the answer that our salvation can be assured.
First, it is said that our salvation is certain because God is for us.
Second, it is said that our salvation is certain because God acknowledges us as righteous.
The second enemy that shakes our salvation is the guilt and fear of transgression. When I say I am saved and fall into a sin, I doubt whether I am really saved. But in verse 37, “Who can bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” God, the Supreme Judge, saw us and declared us righteous. We received God's love for no reason whatsoever. Because I was loved by God, I believed in Jesus, my sins were forgiven, and I was justified. I should not think that God loves me because I have done a little bit of righteousness and that God will forsake me because I have sinned a little. God loves me no matter this or that, so it is important to have an attitude to receive God's love.
Third, it is said that our salvation is certain because no one can separate us from the love of the Lord even in tribulation.
No matter how good a person is, if a terrible test comes, the hkrtls of faith he had for peace may be shaken. But in verse 36 Paul says that even a dangerous sword soaked in tribulation, distress, persecution, and famine cannot separate us from the love of Christ. Moreover, in verse 37, “In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” It says that we overcome and overcome because of Jesus who loves us. It is said that the power and power of the love of Jesus is infinite, and it is said that it can overcome such difficulties. Among many Christians, the secret to martyrdom without yielding to tribulation and persecution in order to keep the faith was the power of the love of Jesus Christ who loved us. Below verse 38, I am convinced that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, singing triumphantly with the assurance of salvation.
