Title: Run to God's Sanctuary in Difficult Times

Contents

1 Samuel 21:1-9

Jealousy is one of the human qualities?

** Although they harass others, they make themselves suffer from mental illness, so they cannot enjoy freedom in life.

Jealousy soon develops into envy?

** It develops into hostility. No one is free from these feelings.

However, how religiously and maturely do you cultivate the feelings of your heart?

This is important.

Saul's hatred and envy? Now you can see that it has turned into a chronic condition.

* Like epilepsy! It is not a phenomenon that is latent and suddenly appears and disappears, but is now completely sick, and David saw that it could be solved through loyalty?

Now, it even led to a situation where a bounty was attached to David's neck.

** Individual jealousy has developed and has now become a national movement and national policy.

What do you feel when you see Saul?

How much time do you waste? will do

Watching David being chased away today!

We see David running away without any plans to save his life rather than the unjust image of David.

** We live in the same way.

There are situations where I have to take care of my life or situation first before I can express my regrets.

Situation like this - what we should do when we're so stressed out that we can't do anything!

** Run to the sanctuary of God.

First, do not give up on the Christian life.

1) David going to Nob - There is a sanctuary and a priest.

** The sanctuary is a holy place. - There is a priest.

Ahimelech - The one responsible for keeping holy.

What is required of David in this situation?

** It is not giving up on life as a Christian, but relying on God.

2) What is holiness? It is a term used when “referring to the beauty and purity of God”.

** No matter how humanly we seek experience or have good humanity, we cannot call it God.

God? Because you are not human.

In all our faiths, if we look at God as the same person as humans, it can be limited to ‘respect’, not ‘faith’.

3) Humans can never in any way predict or control what God is doing.

** How can we approach God?

Awe and humility go out through bowed worship.

What about this attitude? There is fear and trembling.

Is God good and full of mercy?

** We need to know that God is the living God who transcends all our knowledge and knows everything in our lives.

4) David has lived a holy life in God and a life led by God until now.

** But there is a problem.

They are being attacked through ‘Saul,’ a man who is the opposite of God’s initiative and godliness.

When a believer receives a fatal attack in the field of life, when he loses his holy power and feels the presence of God?

** What not to give up?

“Do not give up on the Christian life”

5) David in the sanctuary of Ahimelech at Nob?

** Surrounded by “holiness” that nothing else in the world can satisfy.

sanctuary? A place to focus on God and listen to His voice

sanctuary? A place where the truth of God is preserved, a place that shows the way.

sanctuary? It is a place that reminds us of the events that showed God's power in human history.

[ apply ]

1) Why did David run to the sanctuary even though David had to hide to save his life right now?

** In times of crisis, it is not human's method, but God's method.

2) What was the end of the fatal jealousy and jealousy that Saul wanted to give to David?

** Through resentment against God, David draws resentment toward God, and as an individual Saul, his life is strengthened and acts as a human means and purpose.

3) No matter how hard the circumstances try to overwhelm us!

** “I must not forget my identity as a Christian”

“When we give up our Christian life, from that moment on we lose our divine power.”

Second, tell God about your life as it really is and get refreshed.

1) Jealousy and jealousy appeared to threaten David's life.

** Ahimelech must have been astonished when David appeared in the sanctuary of Nob, gasping for breath.

because? Why is David at least here, who killed the Philistines, the captain of the enemy? will do

2) But! He was able to directly witness Saul's actions, which had been rumored for a long time, and David's pursuit.

** the problem is? David's lie

People call them “white lies” and “black lies” to justify their lies.

David said to Ahimelech!

“Saul and David have no problem. He says he is on an errand for King Saul, and he is hungry and needs food.”

3) What do we expect of David?

** Still, David is a master of faith superior to others, so he expects him to be morally and lifely innocent, and he may feel inferior or ashamed of his life in contrast to David.

But! Now, what do we feel about David lying before Ahimelech?

** David, like us, can lie and do worse things.

4) However, what is the difference between David and our lives?

** Rather than rationalizing or departing from the situation, he revealed his true life as it is without departing from God.

“David” is the person who submitted his weakness to God and asked for help.

A person who is with God in any difficult situation,

I am not a person who lives a life that separates me from God,

** To become a person who walks with God every moment, not a life in which God and one's own life are separated, but a person whose life itself is a companion.

[ apply ]

We are like David every day! Go to the sanctuary to worship and pray.

** However, rather than acknowledging the truth about his or her reality, as time goes on, he is dishonest and concentrates only on religious activities and wants to receive his rationality and God's comfort there.

Do not rationalize your faith through God.

God is not so ignorant.

Through the appearance of acknowledging and telling the truth of David!

** You must realize what the attitude of true faith is in an honest life toward God.

Third, go into the sanctuary and regain the faith victory of the past.

1) What kind of bread can satisfy David's hunger?

** there was nothing. However, there are only the sacred battlefields, that is, the showseolbyeong.

This bread was offered to God, and only the priests could eat it.

David asks himself? He already knew that there was no rice cake he could eat under the circumstances.

because? It was the bread of the priests.

Nevertheless, David demanded the bread from Ahimelech.

2) In a sense, there are those who want to acknowledge David's biblical status through Ahimelech's attitude.

** For example, because he is God's chosen king.

But strictly speaking, here we can see Ahimelech's attitude toward God.

Who is Ahimelech? It is the fact that the priest's bread, which was legally stipulated by law, was supplied to David, who was practically needed, rather than regarded as an exclusive possession.

** This is a glimpse of Ahimelech's religious attitude.

Who is Ahimelech? He was a person with a stronger spirit of saving people than texts.

** What is the power of the religious life? There is great power in making the word of the letter live in all aspects of life.

With what attitude are you viewing God's Word now?

Did you not lose the true spirit of God and the power of love because you love letters and are so eager to read them?

3) David, who ate bread in a hurry, needed more.

** It's not just a matter of physical hunger, but what is David's real need now?

It was a “weapon to protect oneself”.

To Ahimelech, David says:

“I came in haste for the command of King Saul, and I have no sword or weapon” (1 Samuel 21:8).

4) What if you are pushed by the situation?

** There are many cases in our lives where we do not possess the spiritual weapon of our life and run away unconditionally.

What is the life of a saint under any circumstances? You need the weapon of faith to protect yourself from evil thoughts.

Ahimelech says:

“Here is the sword of Goliath that you killed.”

5) There is the sword of victory obtained in the battle of Ella Valley, the sword that was taken after defeating the enormous Goliath that was beyond imagination.

** This is what David found in the sanctuary.

The God who gave me victory over all these things is still with me now.

A retreat of faith? Losing his superior spiritual weapon in his spiritual life

It starts with living in

6) Where is the sword of the glorious faith of the past?

Restore the sword of faith that made you a strong child of God last month.

** Didn't we also run frantically like the life of David, who ran away from defenselessness, hunger, and ran blindly?

God is speaking to us now.

“Come back to the sanctuary! Recover the power of faith that was given you there.”

[ apply ]

1) When it is difficult, we must go to the sanctuary of God.

** It is not used as a place to reveal culture and their lives, or as a place to lament and criticize the situation.

It should be a place where you can meet God in a consistent situation.

2) Even though I am angry about the situation, why do I have to go away? Even if my heart breaks enough to do that!

** There must be a history of running to the sanctuary and meeting the transcendent God.

Tired of heart and troubled in life? Enter the sanctuary of God!

Go! Recover again!

As we desperately run away like David, what should we not forget?

** The Lord wants us to go to the holy sanctuary and receive the new strength God gives us, and the excellent spirituality of our fundamental faith will be revived.
