Psalm 39 is a sad song. The poet is clearly hit hard. At first, the physical
It was a blow, but it was such a shock that gradually became obscured and degraded.
He endured the hardship silently for a while. 1b and 2a
I will put pebbles in my mouth; I am silent, and I speak no good words.
The poet was silent. With that silence, he would forget himself and not complain about God.
But his efforts to restrain himself only made his suffering worse.
Not only did it add to his anxiety, but his emotions burned like fire in his heart.
He couldn't control his emotions. So he broke the silence and opened his mouth. Verses 4 and 5
O LORD, make known my end and what my days are, so that I may know my weakness.
You have made my days as wide as your hand, and my days are before you.
It seems that there is no such thing, so every man is truly in vain, even when he stands strong.
He laments the futility of life. Verse 6
Verily, every man walks like a shadow, and dwells on vanity, and accumulates wealth, but who

When we lose something, we taste the futility of life. When we lose our health and face death,
When you lose power overnight and become shabby, when you lose your wealth, when you lose your loved ones
When we lose, when we lose something we loved and believed
Sometimes they fall into a trap. However, the poet is not sad and is praying to God.
Lord, what can I hope? My hope is in You.
Hear and listen to my cry; do not be silent when I weep.
Now his sorrow has turned into joy and despair into hope. Because he put his hope in God.
