Saints like strangers and passers-by
The same is true for us Christians, the diasporas of this New Testament age. For us Christians, the kingdom of heaven where God the Father and the Lord are is our eternal home. Therefore, true Christians live longing for their heavenly home throughout their days on this earth. Even though we have citizenship of one country on this earth, we know that our eternal citizenship is in heaven, so we are Christians in this world who regard ourselves as strangers and long for our heavenly hometown. We must live our best life with sincerity in a given situation. If we are Christians in Korea, we should be good citizens as Koreans too. Even so, since we know that this earth is not our hometown where we will live forever, we must not make the reality of this world absolute, and we must be able to live without being greedy or obsessed with success or glory in this world. As such, we Christians can be said to be diasporas in the true sense of the word because we, Christians, are scattered throughout the world, but have to live in the same attitude as a stranger who longs for the heavenly hometown.
Dear saints,
We Christians are scattered strangers chosen by God. Our hometown is not on this earth, but the kingdom of heaven prepared by our Heavenly Father is our eternal home. We only yearn for that heavenly homeland, so we should live a life that does not cling to or fall into the things of this world. And as we live our lives as strangers, whenever God tells us to leave the place we stand and go to a new place, we should be able to walk away like strangers, and finally, one day, Heavenly Father will send us to that When you call us to come home, we leave no regrets in this world and say, 'Yes. father. Thank you. Now, I am going to my heavenly home, which I have longed for so much. I believe that we should become the saints who leave this world while singing joyfully.
Dear saints,
The year is coming to an end. Just as there is a beginning and an end of a year, there will always be a final moment in our lives. Meanwhile, a wise person is one who always lives with a heart that prepares for the end times. I believe that it is essential for us believers to remember that we are like strangers and passers-by in this world in order to live such a wise life. By all means, I pray that all the wise saints who are ready to return to their heavenly hometown with joy at any time while living in this world are aware of the identity of our saints like strangers and passersby.
