Title: Saints who bear the fruit of light
Bible: Ephesians 5:1-10
Starting Point of the Word>>
This time, I would like to share a message with the title of “Saints who bear the fruit of light.”
If we look at the words of verse 9,
“The fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.”
Says.
The fruit of light is not produced by children of darkness, but by children of light.
If we look at verse 1 of the text,
“Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children”
Through these words, Paul says that we were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord, and we are asking to walk as children of God, that is, children of light.
As in these words, in a word, we are children of light.
Therefore, we must bear the fruit of the light by living in the light.
Sometimes we lose ourselves as children of light and pray with things of darkness.
To pray is not to say that any power will come from us, but because we know that strength will never come from us, and we pray because we know that all power and strength come only from God.
Therefore, we must become a God who has this power and strength, imitating Christ by dwelling in the light.
If we look at the words of verse 2,
“Walk in love as Christ loved you, who gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
I say.
We are children in the light.
Therefore, we must keep our duty as children, and that is imitating God.
Children of light who imitate God in this way must now bear the fruit of light.
What is the fruit of light?
In verse 9 of today's text, the fruit of the light is called “goodness, righteousness, and truth.”
Today, we hope that it will be a time to seek the fruit of light as children of light, not as saints who sit in the dark seat and seek the fruit of darkness.
Go to Word>>
Then, today, we will share the word about “goodness, righteousness, and truth”, the fruit of light.
First, as children of light, we must bear the fruit of light called “goodness”.
The word ‘nice’ means ‘no hair’.
Looking at the words of Matthew 5:43-48, it explains goodness without anger.
“And you have heard it was said to love your neighbor and hate your enemies, but I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you will become sons of your Father who is in heaven, for He makes this sun shine on the wicked and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. What reward do you have if you love those who love you? Are you not like tax collectors? And if you greet only your brothers, what do you do more than others? Is it not so also of the Gentiles? Therefore be ye perfect as your Father who is in heaven.”
What this means is that God wants all people to be saved without coming to judgment.
We think of unbelievers as enemies in the world and say that they are people who will perish, but God thinks of all those people as God's people who should be in the place of salvation.
Therefore, we must become saints who resemble the goodness of God.
Example>>
“If any of you do not hate anyone, please raise your hand.”
Then no one raised their hand.
So I asked the question again.
“If any of you do not hate anyone, please raise your hand.”
However, an old man who was sitting at the back of the church raised his hand.
The pastor asked with a very happy heart.
“How is it that no one hates it?”
Then the grandfather answered,
“They all died years ago.”
That is to say.
Folks, this is not 'good'.
Today, we must become saints who bear the fruits of goodness by listening to the goodness that the Lord speaks of.
Second, as children of light, we must bear the fruit of light called “righteousness.”
It refers to a person of righteousness whose soul and truth are the standard, not our emotions, insufficient thoughts, or impulses.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Our lives should have a righteousness centered on the truth through Jesus Christ.
Righteousness means freedom from the truth.
If the righteousness of self-judgment becomes the standard, it can become a weapon to beat others.
Therefore, we must become children of light who abide in the truth as God becomes the standard of truth.
Folks, we are unrighteous beings.
But Jesus became our savior by dying on the cross for us, and everyone who believes in his name is justified.
We can be justified not because we have learned much, not because we have many things, nor because we have honor or power.
Only because of faith in Jesus Christ.
Today, we must become saints who resemble Jesus who becomes righteousness, that is, children of light, in the firm faith of faith in Jesus.
Third, as children of light, we must bear the fruit of light called “truth.”
Truth is something that looks and feels the same.
Being different from the inside means hypocrisy. What does hypocrisy mean?
What I show on the outside to have is different from what I aim for on the inside.
The fruit of the light is a matter of personality attributes.
The greatest purpose God has created and established us is to glorify Him and please Him for eternity.
When God chooses us to become His children, it is not to gain any benefit.
Just as parents look to their children and want to live as true beings, God's heart wants us to be perfected in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, we must become saints who approach God with a more sincere heart.
Our life should not be to reveal our own interests and righteousness, but to reveal the truthfulness of God.
At the end of the speech>>
Organize your words.
We are saints of faith who have already established ourselves in the light.
Therefore, you should not become a saint who has even one aspect of darkness.
Light has the power to illuminate the darkness, but if you stay in the dark, you have no choice but to lose the light and turn into darkness.
God tells us today that we will become like His children.
And he tells us to walk as children of light.
At that time, we who are children of light can bear the fruit of light, which is “goodness, righteousness, and truth.”
What pleases God and that God is glorified, we who are children of light should also rejoice.
It is said that this age and this generation today are an evil, unjust, and false world.
However, if we, children of light, shine in Jesus with the fruits of goodness, righteousness, and truth, and bear the fruits of light, this will be pleasing to God.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become all the saints who bear the fruit of light as children of light in the place of life that is given to us today.
