Title: Saints as pillars of the church

Bible: 1 Kings 7:20-23

Starting Point of the Word>>

Today, at this time, we would like to share a message with the title of “Saints who become pillars of the church.

In Greece, Rome, and other countries of Asia Minor, many traces of ancient temples, temples, and temples remain.

The splendor and grandeur of the past have all disappeared and disappeared, but it is the pillars of the building that still give us a glimpse of the magnificence and magnificence of that time.

Because you can still see the pillars of that time, you can imagine how splendid and grand the buildings were.

What you can see through the remaining pillars today is not only the splendor of the building, but also the culture, lifestyle, and beliefs of the people at that time.

If you go to Ephesus, there is an amphitheater where the Apostle Paul preached the gospel in the old days, and next to it, the stone pillars of the very large temple of Athens remain.

This pillar is one of the wonders of the world, and how it was built is still unknown.

What you can tell from the pillars of this Athenian temple is that it symbolizes art and culture while worshiping idols.

However, there are many stories about pillars in the Bible.

In particular, in 1 Kings 7:21, the two pillars of the temple in Jerusalem are recorded.

“And these two pillars were set up before the porch of the temple, and they set up the right pillar and named it Jachin, and set the left pillar and called its name Boaz.”

There are two pillars supporting the temple in Jerusalem, one named Jachin and the other named Boaz.

We'll talk more about these two pillars a little later.

If there are other important pillars recorded in the Bible, it is the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud that appeared when the Israelites left Egypt.

These pillars of fire and cloud are two pillars that symbolize the presence and guidance of God.

Among the seven churches in Asia Minor, the Philadelphia church is the church of brotherly love.

But that church is the youngest of the seven churches.

Other churches were rebuked, but the church in Philadelphia was praised and encouraged.

According to Revelation 3:12,

“He who overcomes will become a pillar of God’s disposition”

is written down.

In the name of the Lord, I bless you that the amazing pillar of work that is revealed through the words of today's text will come to you as a word of grace from me, you, and our church of service.

We must become saints who realize the role of pillars by examining the words of the text.

So, what is the correct role of the pillar?

First, the correct role of the pillar is to stand upright.

Among the two pillars recorded in 1 Kings 7:21, the pillar supporting the right side of the temple was named “Jacin”.

The meaning of the name 'Yagin' is: "to stand exactly upright", "to be established", "to stand upright".

If we look at it more religiously, it means “he will build”, “he will build”.

In any building, if there is an important thing along with the 'foundation', it is the column.

The pillars hold the roof of the temple and stand upright.

Because it stands upright, the pillar can stand for 3 or 4 thousand years even if the roof collapses.

Although the church members in Philadelphia were small and small in power, they were sincere, persevering, and were able to overcome Satan's temptation and overcome Satan's temptations by doing their best when the opportunity for evangelism opened up with little power.

At that time, I could hear the words, “You will be the pillars of the temple of God from now on.”

The same is true in the life of faith.

Even in the religious life of the church, a person who cannot stand upright because of shaking cannot become a pillar of the church.

When we as saints stand upright, the family can stand upright, and when the country's leader stands upright, the nation becomes stable.

When the leader of the country and the leader of the church become a pillar like Jachin who is standing upright, the nation will be established, the church will be revitalized, the family will be upright, and the individual person will be blessed before God.

It is said that if you believe in God rightly, you will be justified by faith. To be justified means to have a right relationship with God and neighbors and to support the brothers like a pillar standing upright.

Therefore, as saints, we must become saints who dedicate our nation, the church, and our family by possessing faith like a pillar.

According to Galatians 2:9,

“And James, Cephas, and John, who were regarded as pillars, also knew the grace that was given to me.”

James, Cephas, and John are also like pillars.

Just as the early church was able to stand strong because they were the pillars of the church, I ask in the name of the Lord that you too will become the pillars that are erected properly for the Church of God and that you will be the saints who can properly build the church.

Second, the correct role of the pillar is to be a sturdy pillar.

Boaz, the left pillar of the temple in Jerusalem, means “strong, strong”.

It also has the meaning of “he has power”.

The pole must stand strong and sturdy.

Ancient columns were made of marble or stone.

It stands surprisingly well balanced.

In ancient times, there were many earthquakes, so the pillars were made strong to withstand earthquakes.

With the rainy season these days, there is a lot of rain damage.

Sometimes this heavy rain knocks down houses and even pillars.

Why do you have to fall?

This is because the pillars cannot stand strong.

God uses the strong pillar that stands even after earthquakes and floods, and the one who overcomes and overcomes the trials of any kind of trial and environment is used as a strong pillar of the temple.

Jesus' Sermon on the Mount concludes with the parable of the builders.

It is said that fools build their houses on sand, but the wise build their houses on rock.

The house built on the sand the day after the wind blew and the floodwaters fell to the south, but the house built on a rock did not collapse even when the wind blew and the floodwaters because the foundation was built on the rock.

At this time, I hope that we too will build the foundation of our faith on the rock.

In Jeremiah 1:18 we read,

“Behold, I have made you today a fortified city, iron pillars, and bronze walls before all the land, the kings of Judah, their leaders, their priests, and the people of the land.”

You said.

This means that if we build our foundation in Jesus Christ, who is the Rock, He makes us walls of brass and pillars of iron.

Today, these words were spoken by God to Jeremiah.

Now, by raising Jeremiah as a prophet who prophesies the word, God promises to help him so that his enemies cannot destroy it.

Today's success or failure in life depends on how strong you are in your faith.

Today, I hope that the pillars of the Holy Spirit and you will become strong and strong pillars like Boaz.

Then God will show His power through us.

In the name of the Lord, I ask that you become believers who experience the amazing power of God.

Third, the correct role of the pillar is to be a beautiful pillar with a name engraved on it.

We must engrave the name of Jerusalem, the name of God, the name of Jesus, and our own name on the pillar.

In the old days, when a priest died serving God in the temple, he erected a pillar and wrote the priest and his father's name on the pillar.

It is a record that this person has served this temple for a long time.

As the saying goes, “When a tiger dies, he leaves his skin, and when he dies, he leaves his name.” People should live a life that leaves a name.

Rather than leaving your name for sin and evil, you must leave your name as a person of God and a saint who has led a correct life of faith.

Those who overcome and the faithful saints will be remembered by God, and their names will be engraved on the pillars.

Today, we too must become saints who leave their names on the pillars of the church.

May your name be written on the pillars of God's temple for a long time.

What does it mean for us to engrave our name on the church?

That is what it means to please God.

It is also that he has become a member of the church that has brought joy and recognition to many people.

The appearance of our faith does not mean that the influence of our faith has not been freed up, but that our name has grown with dignity.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

We are to be the pillars of the church.

The place where you are must be a place where you can be built strong and grow beautifully because of you.

I hope that you will become saints who are used as pillars of the church, but like Jachin and Boaz, you will become beautiful and strong pillars of the church.

And I hope that that name will be a name that will be engraved on many people and glory to God.

Even today, we must live as those who live by the grace of the Lord. Even though many difficulties and hardships stand in our way, I pray that they will be firmly established as pillars that have been firmly established as pillars that receive the Lord's help, so that they will bear beautiful fruits of their faith. I congratulate you in the name of
