There is a reason for the smell. Whether a smell is good or bad, there is a root cause of that smell. It is natural for Christians to smell of Christians. The smell proves the contents like this. In verses 14-15 of today's text, we are referred to as “the scent of knowing Christ” or “the scent of Christ.” What is the smell of knowing Christ? What is the fragrance of Christ? That we have Christ in us. That Jesus is in me. What scent will you release? You must have the blood of Jesus Christ for the true fragrance to come out.
2. The two sides of smell
The smell of knowing Jesus Christ that is, the message of Christ delivered to people can lead to death for some and life to others. That is, Jesus Christ brings eternal life to those who believe and eternal death to those who do not believe. Therefore, we must strive to spread the gospel to all parts of the world so that this fragrance becomes a beautiful fragrance, which permeates before God, and becomes the fragrance of the beautiful altar that God accepts.
3. To be a fragrant Christian
In order to become truly fragrant Christians, we must first know the Word well. According to the Word, you should not change the Word of your pure image as you have received it from God, and you should carry out the duties of a saint well. In many cases, the main reason for the loss of fragrance is because of impurity. When a saint who should emit a beautiful fragrance becomes a source of corruption due to greed of materials or compromises with lies, when he shows a strange form of faith by mixing things of the world with the image of a saint, it emits a stench worse than fragrance. is going to be So, we should always think about how to spread the fragrance abundantly and convey the beauty of Christ.
