Title: Salvation and Judgment (John 03:17-21)
Content: Humans are truly weak creatures. Even if we look at the age of our lives, there is a limit, and even if we claim the strength of our bodies, we have nothing to put forward. But also humans are thinking beings. It was also a source of infinite power to man.
Because of this, man conquered nature and created civilization. Now, humans have come to overconfidence in the power of the Earth. He became convinced that everything that had hitherto limited him could be overcome as science advances.
However, the problem did not disappear for humans who seemed to have solved everything in this way. That is the fundamental problem. Where can we find our complete form? For, as Augustine said in the old days, because you created us to live for you, our hearts are not at ease until they rest in you. Maybe it's a confession. In Genesis, it says that man was created from dust.
That is why we are finite creatures, beings that come from and return to dust. But sometimes we forget this fact and often think that we live on our own. This separation from God was the cause of all divisions. We live in a scattered world.
In terms of time, yesterday has passed and disappeared, and today, it is also disappearing into the past. Our future will be like that too. In this scattering, we know that we too will disappear. Also, while we know what we think, we mean the bringing together of events and their related things, the thoughts are scattered and thus disappear into oblivion.
Also, in a complex and chaotic world, our personalities do not find integrity. In a word, separated from God, man is in division and chaos, and he is always in danger of disappearing. The Bible finds this cause in unbelief. This is the attitude of life that turns your back on God. This is also Sochi of pride. And it is also the result of constant human greed.
In this world, Jesus came as a new human form. He was fundamentally like God. There was no division and chaos in him. He came as a reconciler to break the division between God and man. By His resurrection, He became the promise of our new life.
When we believe and accept his redemption and promises, we can be born again as new beings. Even if we are in a situation of death, we can believe in the promise after that and live victoriously in the present.
But the question is whether we accept or reject this fact. If we are moved by His love and grace and are grateful for all these graces, we will be given a new life, but if we reject it, we remain in the existence of human alienation.
This would be self-condemnation. For example, someone who loves art
Let's say you went to an art exhibition led by Hoga. This person didn't know much about art. Still, he doesn't want to show his ignorance, so, hey, it's all just plain stupid! and said. However, in fact, these works were considered to be some of the best masterpieces in the world. Then an art lover next to me said:
These masterpieces have long passed the jury, and now those who look at them are up to the judging table. He was only showing his ignorance. The same is true of human attitudes toward Jesus.
If the soul is amazed and rejoicing in his wonder and beauty when meeting Jesus, he is a person of salvation, and if he does not respond to him when he sees him, he is condemning himself. The writer of the Gospel of John tells it in the parable of the light at the outset. The true light has come into the world, but those who hate the light will hide in darkness.
On which side shall we stand? Will we come to God, who gathers the scattered things into one to overcome our torn and divided forms? Will we be born and receive Christ, His Son?
And will we courageously fulfill the promises given to us in our lives? The God who unites my soul, the God who binds us who are divided with our neighbors with love, the one who unites the division between man and nature. Only when we entrust our entire life to God will we have our true life, a life of hope and courage.
