Title: Salvation for Whom?

Contents

“I have been forgiven forever by the blood of the Lord Jesus. Therefore there is no more condemnation for me. I count this faith as righteousness. So I am no longer a sinner. So my salvation is certain.”

A person who has this kind of faith is not yet fully denied the self as “I” and cannot eat milk or solid food, and is a child who needs to be taught again by someone about the basics of God's Word.

Salvation is not the fulfillment of the sinner's will, but the fulfilling of God's will. It is written, "...but these sacrifices are a reminder of sin year after year, for the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. Therefore when he came into the world, he said, "Sacrifice and offerings God did not desire, but I He has prepared a body for you. You have no pleasure in burnt offerings and sin offerings as a whole. So I said, “Look, O God, I have come to do your will, as it is written about me in the scroll” (Hebrews 10:3). -7) It is the same as Hashim.

Therefore, the purpose of salvation is not for God to see the joy of sinners whose sins are forgiven by the blood of his Son for sinners, but for the joy of seeing the love of him who saved them from death is also shown in those who are being saved. .

So, the Bible testifies about true salvation, saying, “He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no stumbling block in him” (1 John 2:10). He who does not obey remains in death” (1 John 3:14) and again, “We have received this commandment from the Lord, and he who loves God must also love his brother” (1 John 4:21).

God's will is love. Jesus, who was sent into the world to save sinners, is waiting for his people to fulfill all this love and to work out love, that is, salvation through this love.

Therefore, God's love is also extended to those whose sins are forgiven through Christ Jesus. It is the same as it is written, "...your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).

Regarding this, the Bible says, “After that, I will no longer pursue the lusts of men, but that I may live the rest of the flesh according to the will of God” (1 Peter 4:2), and also, “The world and its lusts have passed away, but God He who does the will of will abides forever” (1 John 2:17).

The fulfillment of this will is salvation for God. Therefore, the Bible testifies, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me” (Psalm 51:12).

As it is written that he became king in a shepherd's house, "Crying vain songs to the lyre, and making musical instruments for himself like David" (Amos 6:5). The true salvation is not salvation for those who enjoy it, but for God in which “the joy of the Lord’s salvation” is accomplished. That is why it is written, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10).

The true gospel does not end with the forgiveness of ten thousand talents, but ends with one hundred denarii. With a hundred denarii, God's will is done. It is the same as it is written, “Should you not have pity on your brother-in-law, just as I have compassion on you?” (Matthew 18:33). This is the will of our Lord Jesus, who accomplished all the will of God and became the firstfruits.

In the same way, we too, through faith in the Lord Jesus, the old man is crucified with Jesus, the body of sin is destroyed, and the new man is born again to God, and salvation is to share in the divine nature. Therefore, it is written, “In this way love is perfected in us, that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, just as you are, so are we in the world” (1 John 4:17).

Salvation is not the kingdom of sinners, but the kingdom of God. Because it is a place where there is no flesh and blood. As it is written, “Brothers, I say this, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor do perishables inherit incorruption” (1 Corinthians 15:50).

Therefore, salvation is salvation for God, and only in salvation for God is our salvation. Thank you Lord.

Last but not least, Kim Yoon-goo
