Joel 2:28-32
28. Then I will pour out my Spirit on all people, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions
29. At that time I will also pour out my spirit upon the male and female servants.
30. I will perform wonders in heaven and on earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31. The sun will be darkened and the moon will turn into blood before the great and dreadful day of the LORD comes
32. Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved, for there will be some who will flee from Mount Zion and from Jerusalem, as the LORD has said, and among the remnant there will be those whom the LORD has called.
John 16:7-14
7. But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; the Counselor will not come to you unless I go away; and if I do, I will send him to you
8. He will come and convict the world of sin and righteousness and judgment.
9. Of sin, because they do not believe in me.
10. Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more.
11. Of judgment, for the king of this world has been judged.
12. I still have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now.
13. But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth, and he will not speak on his own, but will speak what he hears, and will make known to you things to come.
14. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and make it known to you.

Title: Salvation through faith, blessing through works
Text: Joel 2:28-32, John 16:7-14
‘If we walk according to the Holy Spirit?’ What kind of life will come? He grants us ‘salvation through faith’ and ‘blessings through works’. The Bible, the Word of God, is dominated by the promises of God. Both the Old Testament, the old promise, and the New Testament, the new promise, contain these promises of God. Of course, all these promises of God are for us. There is salvation (救援, Salvation), and there is blessing (福, Blessing). The Holy Spirit who came to this earth as ‘another Comforter’ is ‘the Spirit of truth’ (John 14:16,17). He gives all the necessary instruction to God's people (John 14:26a). He reminds me of all the words of the Lord whenever necessary (John 14:26b). Among the teachings, there is also ‘what kind of person is Jesus to us?’ (John 15:26).
These are the words Jesus said in the Darakbang Ganghwa. “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away. The Counselor will not come to you unless I leave. When he goes, I will send him to you, and he will come and convict the world of sin, and righteousness, and judgment” (John 16:7,8). He is a rebuke for 'sin'. He is a rebuke for 'righteousness'. It is a rebuke to ‘judgment’. Among the works of the Holy Spirit, there are no ‘things like works of the flesh’ (Galatians 5:19-21). Playing with people is the work of Satan (Genesis 3:1). This is what the descendants of Satan do. That is why he says, “Those who do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Gal 5:21). The result will be the second death, that is, sharing in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8).
The threefold rebuke of the Comforter (sin, righteousness, judgment) is based on their unbelief in Jesus Christ. The greatest of all sins is 'unbelief in Jesus' being the Christ'. “Of sin, because they do not believe in Me” (John 16:9). This is because it is an abhorrence of human beings who reject the only way to save mankind (Acts 4:12) that God has sent. ‘Disbelief’ (hui, ‘upistiusin’) is the present tense, and refers to the stubbornness of unbelief that has not been believed for a long time and continues to this day. You must act according to the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, to be freed from this foolishness. It is because He makes them stand in the class of children who receive “Salvation by faith (Romans 1:17) and blessing by works” (James 2:26). Because it allows you to break free from the bondage of unhappy habits. This is why we call on the name of the Lord (Joel 2:28-32).
