Title: Samson's Victory/Judges 15:14-19
Contents During the period of the judges, when Samson became prominent as a judge, the Philistines persecuted Samson's people, Israel, in order to capture him. The Israelites, unable to withstand the adversary's persecution, seized Samson and dragged him as far as Lehi to hand him over to the Philistines. When the Philistines saw this, they cheered and cheered. But the joy was short-lived, and Samson immediately broke the chains and killed a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey. Let us learn valuable spiritual lessons through this.
1. When the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon us, the impossible becomes possible.
Samson was now brought before the Philistines, bound with two new cords instead of the old one. Perhaps the Philistines saw Samson so bound and thought that he had completely fallen into their hands. And when they saw Samson bound triumphantly, they cheered with joy and amazement. But it was only for a short time, and the power of Jehovah came upon him. Because of the work of the Holy Spirit, the new rope that bound Samson was torn very easily. This teaches us that any human effort that goes against God's will will never succeed, and that when God's Holy Spirit comes on, impossible events become possible. Therefore, no matter how strong the power of evil that surrounds the saints, to those who have the power of the Holy Spirit, it will be consumed like a string of fire.
2. God takes small things and uses them large.
3. God sustains His ministers to the end.
