(Explanation of Revelation 51)

The complete destruction of Satan / Revelation 20:7-10

The main text is the story of the end of the Millennium Kingdom and Satan's final campaign, and then disappears forever because of God's repulsion. There is an end even in the Millennium Kingdom. The word “thousand years” implies that the end will come after a thousand years. The Millennium Kingdom was a world where only God's justice prevailed throughout the earth, and only peace, righteousness, love, and blessings overflowed through Christ's righteous reign. However, after a thousand years have passed, Satan is released and he takes the final blow. That is the saying, “they deceive Gog and Magog”.

He captured Satan, bound him, and locked him in the abyss for a thousand years so that he would never deceive the nations again, but he said, “After that, he will be released for a little while” (3). It appears in the Bible today. When the serpent appears in Eden, just as the peaceful Garden of Eden is stained with sin, the peace of the Millennium Kingdom is destroyed by the liberation of Satan. However, God allowed Satan's delusion for a short time. He immediately casts Satan into a lake burning with fire and brimstone. This is the final victory of the War of Armageddon.

end of the millennium

How to define the millennial kingdom is controversial. The Millennium Kingdom is definitely not heaven. All the saints in history have been looking forward to this country. The reason we eagerly waited for the Lord's return is because there is a millennium kingdom. The Millennium Kingdom is a new world completely different from the present world. Through Isaiah, God said, “Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind” (Isaiah 65:17) can be applied here.

The new heavens and new earth of the Millennium Kingdom will also be recreated with the word, and the world destroyed by fire will be built anew by the seventh bowl judgment. The real ruler of this kingdom is Jesus. Of course, the saints also rule as kings. There is no death, no curse, no disease, no iniquity. Satan is bound and he brings nothing. Also, it is a place where you can live in a perfect body without any physical defects. There is no death for a thousand years. So it becomes a number like the sand of the sea.

Simultaneously with the second coming of Jesus, a new kingdom, ruled by Jesus as king, will be born on this earth. Some even try to solve the Millennium Kingdom symbolically, but that is a mistake. The millennial kingdom prophesied by Isaiah (Isaiah 35:5-10; 65:17-35) is, “Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be opened, then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing, Waters will flow out of the wilderness, and streams will flow from the desert.” Isaiah describes the life of Eden, and that is the millennial kingdom.

“When the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison, and will deceive the peoples of the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, and gather them to fight” (7). We are talking about the war of Armageddon, the last war of mankind. However, this war occurs at the same time as the Millennium Kingdom ends. No, because of this war, the Millennium Kingdom will come to an end. In (verse 1), Satan was bound with a great chain by an angel who came down from heaven and was thrown into the abyss for a thousand years, and the millennial kingdom began. At the end of that period, the dragon is released, albeit briefly.

To be released from prison means that He again allowed them to deceive the people of all directions, Gog and Magog. “Gog and Magog” was originally used to refer to a nation on earth that will afflict and oppose God at the end of mankind. (Ezekiel 38:1-6, 14-16) is expressed as the enemy of Judea located in the north of Judea. An antichrist state that opposes Christ. After being released from prison, Satan deceived the peoples of the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to oppose the Lamb and the saints.

During my life in the Millennium Kingdom, there was no rebellion against God and Jesus. There was no devil, no sin, no delusion. However, as soon as Satan is released from the abyss, the hand of delusion spreads throughout the world. It is as if the love between God and man was broken when the serpent appeared in the Garden of Eden. Likewise, even in the Millennium Kingdom, the number of the people deceived by Satan appears like the sand of the sea, and they become the people of Gog and Magog and rebel against God. In this world, all mankind has lived a life free of sin and death for a thousand years. But now that peace has been broken. This is the end of the Millennium Kingdom.

Satan's complete destruction

At the end of the Millennium, there is the War of Armageddon. This war is neither a territorial war nor an ideological war. It is a religious war and a spiritual war. This war has already been foretold. It is a war that mobilizes 20,000 horsemen when the sixth angel blows his trumpet (9:12-20). In (16:12-16), the sixth angel prepares for a decisive battle during the bowl plague, and in (19:19-21), kings of all nations, beasts, and false prophets are portrayed as waging war with a rider on a white horse. . All of these are repeat records of the same event.

The saints who achieved the first millennium kingdom are God's people who have already been saved because they believe in Jesus on this earth, and they are regenerated people. However, the second generation of those saints is a little different. The Millennium Kingdom is a place where there is no death, but it is a place where you can see your children (Psalm 128:6). Second-generation children born here are born without sin in a sinless world. However, the problem is only after Satan is released from prison. fall into Satan's temptations. Just like Adam and Eve fell to the serpent in the Garden of Eden. The second generation are deceived by Satan and form the forces of Gog and Magog to oppose God.

This is the War of Armageddon. These rebels who formed Gog and Magog will surround the camp of the saints and the city they love. Now, the Millennium Kingdom will come to an end, and peace will disappear and war will break out. The saints also camped out to fight them (9). These rebel groups who formed Gog and Magog on the side of the red dragon besieged not only the camp of the saints, but also the ‘beloved city’, the palace of the Lord. But God does not leave him alone. He sends fire from heaven and consumes them (9).

Gog and Magog's rebellious gang are destroyed by the fire that God sends down like a torrential rain from heaven without ever fighting properly. Satan and his angels who deceived us are thrown together into the lake of fire and brimstone. It is home to the beast and the false prophet that were thrown alive during the war of Armageddon. It is a scene where the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet, who can be called the Trinity of Satan, are all destroyed. With the destruction of Satan's power, the Millennium Kingdom will also come to an end.

The scale of this war is global. It is said that the peoples of the four quarters of the earth are mobilized (7) and spread over the whole earth in numbers like the sand of the sea (8) (9). The battle between Jesus and the dragon. This fight is, at least, a fight. The duration of this war is very short. The devil cannot resist God. Satan is over when God vomits fire from heaven just once. (Luke 17:29,30) says this. “On the day Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them; so it will be on the day of the appearing of the Son of Man.” Hallelujah!

Dear saints,

At the end of the Millennium, there is the Second Coming of Jesus. There is heaven at the end. We must look forward to the Millennium Kingdom, but we must hope for Heaven as the final victor. On the day Satan is thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, we must taste the work of heaven being heard. When Satan's hordes are tormented day and night for ever and ever, we must praise God with the tunes of heaven. Please be patient and patient saints for this eternal kingdom of God.
