Title: Satan Occupies Thoughts (Mark 8:27-38)

Contents

Satan takes over the thoughts (Mark 8:27-38)

If there is one thing that worries me the more I live my life of faith, it is that it is too difficult for my inner person to change.

Why? Because thoughts are still attached to worldly things.

Anyone can have evil thoughts and good thoughts. The question is what kind of thinking is occupied.

Jesus asked his disciples who do you say I am.

Peter confessed that the Lord was the Christ.

Then Jesus taught that He would be resurrected three days after suffering, crucifixion, and death.

At this time, Peter held on to Jesus and said that he could never do it.

Jesus turned to his disciples and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan!

You do not consider the things of God, but the things of men.”

Maybe you said something too harsh?

The purpose of Jesus coming to this earth and the purpose of sending him was to save mankind from their sins.

Jesus said that unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone.

The saying that death bears much fruit is a parable of Himself.

But Peter insisted that this should never happen.

The reason is that the disciples believe that when Jesus becomes King of the Jews,

It was because he followed Jesus with the thought that he would get a ministerial position.

So the death of Jesus was hopeless for the disciples.

Peter confessed with his mouth that he was the Christ, but he did not actually know Jesus.

Confession of the mouth and life are two different things.

Jesus revealed to Peter that it was because he was thinking of men, not God's.

God's work is to atone for the sins of mankind through the death of the cross.

The disciples who were called to be God's servants should be thinking about God's work.

What pleases God is for a sinner to repent and return to God.

Therefore, the most important problem for Christians is to think and live the things of God.

The Apostle Paul said that whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

God's work is evangelism. However, evangelism is difficult and I think it is impossible.

Why? Jesus said it is because Satan is taking over people's thoughts.

Satan takes over the spiritual highland, the mind.

When your thoughts are taken over by Satan, evil thoughts, negative thoughts,

With dirty thoughts, you become immersed in worldly affairs.

As a result, they neglected worship, did not pray, did not listen to the Word,

It leads to the misfortune of turning away from the work of God, evangelism.

Therefore, we must guard and control our thoughts from Satan's attacks.

You must always read, listen, learn, memorize, meditate on, and put into practice the Word of God.

Do not get drunk and dissipate, but be filled with the Holy Spirit,

We must become faithful workers in preaching the gospel to the ends of the earth by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When the Holy Spirit takes over your thoughts, you live the most valuable and blessed life of sharing the gospel.

If your thoughts have been taken over by Satan, you must occupy the spiritual heights only with the filling of the Holy Spirit.

Only then will you be used as a good worker in God's good work to save mankind.

Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth.

If you receive the filling of the Holy Spirit, you can do anything.

Let's save the Gunsan area with the Gospel! Amen.
